in the video, I've created a new block with a new drum pattern and a bass layer, easy-peasy, I only miss a bit better piano roll (chord auditioning) and folder tracks but otherwise, Reason is the best
hello xbitz, in the video there are green percentage informations for workload for each device....HOW do you do that ???

Select “Show CPU Load for Devices” to have the devices in the rack display how much CPU they use, see “Checking processing power for individual devices”....

Yes, it's there in Reason 11. They left it out - probably by accident! - after one of the betas and people loved it, so they kept it:

I've been using Reason since 2017. You don't have to explain to me how great it is :)

You can not leave Reason if you do not have one.

uhh, now I see ....you are on Reason 11.3, I'm on Reason 11.2 because of some stability issues. The thing is, Reason 11.2 is rocksolid on my system, with Reason 11.3 I had some issues. So I went back to 11.2.
Thanks for the hint.

I'm also a late adaptor. Reason 10 was my first dibble into the eco system
It's just not.... intuitive in any way
As a plugin it's unbeatable. But as a DAW it is IMHO hopelessly confusing.
Probably the reason they are trying to market it as such.
...I agree it can get a bit unwieldy as soon as the project gets bigger, but that can be somewhat mitigated by colouring tracks in sequencer and keeping tracks in separate columns in mixer. Sure, that's not ideal but people in FL had to do this for decades to maintain any semblence of organisation, and I personally always found Reason much more logical than FL...
this view seems to know the trick, moved group devices to the last positions (+color coding) so able to mimic grouping

luckily double-clicking on the devices inside the track headers scrolls to the target device so left all the combinators opened, needs a 4k monitor and a mouse with some extra buttons for sure but seems usable (and shift+z for zooming/unzooming is the most important )

Reason left the world.

One of my favorite people in music uses Reason, a total piano roll composer.
At v 2.5 it felt pretty dinky next to Cubase.

i think i musta been high when i bought it...
was feeling no pain anyway
(methadone daze)
i just assume that i was, i usually am, certainly wouldnt have been any different in uni, which is why i needed the bloody thing  made doing assignments off site a lot easier, especially as on site they only had two rooms with the one set up each, mostly used by bands, or for folk like us, a computer lab with other people, expected to wear headphones.
tried the computer lab once, as i was a mature student, most of them werent and sat around chatting and distracting each other and me in the process :x
