Hello there! First time poster, longtime lurker.
I read many threads about using console plugins in Ableton, and find two differnet options
1 - you MUST use console channel after fader (so after fader level, panning knob)
2 - you could use console channel as last vst fx in fx chain on track and put channel buss on master so it could work as usually and its fine

So,cause Ableton doesn't have possibility to put vst fx after fader, can i use second option and just put console channel as last vst fx in fx chain on track and for control gain and panning use native Ableton Utility tool before console channel?

Yep, that's it. If you're using sends I believe you also need to put a buss plugin on the send track before the effect and a channel plugin after.

Thanks for answer!
I don't use sends such as default ableton's project template delay reverb sends.
I group tracks like panned double/quad tracking guitars,
so 2/4 (double/quad) tracks on each has track console channel moving to group with console buss -> some fx like reverb -> console channel to master with console buss -> channel9 plugin -> etc mastering effects.
But i read that the grouping tracks decrease effect of console plugin is it correct?

I can't see how that would decrease the effect. As long as each track in the group has it's own channel instance it should be fine.

just read somewhere that as long as the send is POST fader, which in ableton you can put post or pre (check on the master volume fader: two options: post/pre ) then you don't need a consoleBus - consoleChannel on the AUX / Return track ...

<tracks>
esp, desk, ~comp, eq, etc etc..~ consolechannel

<sends>
desk, ~etc etc~ consolechannel

<master (ableton has 'master'. this mean = all tracks summed by this as final output buss)>
consolebuss, desk, ~general master chain~

is it right? :D

is it right? :D
Yes, except you do not need to go through two copies of ConsoleChannel. The one on the track is enough, you don't need another on the send unless the send is PRE channel effects.

but tbh i still use it that way
consoleBus - FX - consoleChannel
