This past year in particular, it's become increasingly apparent that the 'get-it-while-you-can' factor may well be the new normal. Dreadbox quit making the Erebus as a result of supply issues, and numerous other devs/manufacturers are having to adjust as well, obviously. ... that said:

Bought an Orange Terror Stamp. Partly to use occasional as a practice amp but mainly to run stuff through in my "studio". It's dinky and sounds nice.... until I turn on my PC. Then it starts amplifying noise from the computer power supply (I guess).
Kinda torn about whether to keep it or return it.

I could, maybe. But then I couldn't record stuff through it. I need this on my desk with everything else.

Different socket didn't work. I have a passive DI with a ground lift. Worth a try!
Power conditioner is probably the way to go in the long run. Noisy buggers these computers...

but you can ask whyterabbyt, my old studio room, was so small, if i was sat with electric guitar, turned up loud enough that i could just hear it, it would still feed back as everything was piled together
i could literally reach all four walls from the middle of the room.
and guess which idiot decided an ms2k with the keys was a good idea in that room?

I’ve been checking out a few synths to fit my rack and the MS2000 rack version looks pretty good value. When/why did you get rid of yours, assuming you did?vurt wrote: Mon Nov 15, 2021 8:42 pm and guess which idiot decided an ms2k with the keys was a good idea in that room?![]()
