Ampbox is also a major release for Reaxis and U530, which, along with other improvements, have received a poweramp that breathes new life into the trusty preamps. First in Mercuriall Audio’s product line, Ampbox receives native support for Apple M1 chips.

All existing owners of Euphoria/Reaxis/U530 will get the corresponding Ampbox update for free with Mercuriall’s new, simplified product activation system.

Over a dozen free modules

Ampbox comes free with a purchase of supported amps or preamps. The platform includes such free modules as gate, overdrive and distortion pedals, EQs, 2D cab section, IR loader, spatial effects, tuner, just to name a few.

Growing amp and preamp list

The first release of Ampbox will offer three amps/preamps for purchase:
  • Euphoria (amp based on Bogner Ecstasy 101B).
  • Reaxis (preamp based on MESA/Boogie Triaxis).
  • U530 (preamp based on Engl E530).
Ampbox comes free with a purchase of supported amps or preamps:
  • Any Ampbox amp (full head): $89.99 USD ($69.99 USD for returning customers).
  • Any Ampbox preamp: $59.99 USD ($49.99 USD for returning customers).
New users can purchase Euphoria/Reaxis/U530 at the same price as returning customers until November 13th, 2021.

Spark and SS-11X in there next?

Can we get the ability to combine these amps in parallel?

now this is very interesting!
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I'm really loving this (free) update, being able to swap amps without having to swap plugins is great and the updates overall have really breathed new life into U530 and reaxis (already great sounding plugins). I'd love to see SS-11X in there although I know it's "just" a pedal.

wow, I test the demo and i test many demos, but this i think so far is the best. I use it with my own record speaker impulse for mix ready from my real tube amp so i can also compare with my real amp. other simulations do not calc correct harmonics on low frequencies lower as 80 hz on sine tone. this do . and also the presets sound accptable. other amps sims sound all not so dense

attached are my impulses this sound very good with this amps and bring more dense as the speaker sim that is build in . my speaker 2 ist the brighter version. they are phase align so can mix them to choose brightness. amp box have currently no choose for 2 IR. use as reverb impulse do not work. but anyway use only my speaker sound amazing with amp box and need no EQ

Ok, I only have ReAxis, and it is a fine amp sim. I am thrilled the team at Mercuriall decided to provide Ampbox as a free update and my experience with their support staff has been first class.....
But the move to an online shopping VST is a major step backwards, I don't care to browse all the presets and amps I don't have while I have a project open in my DAW. If I did, I would load Amplitube, they have a much larger shopping selection.
I do wish they would standardize their preset locations, putting Ampbox user presets in the windows Music folder seems odd to me?
While I never cared for ReAxis's Bank/preset arrangement, I'll be sticking with the un-Ampboxed version.

Not meant to be mean, just one users observations.

Hey! Next is most probably a new amp (not previously released by us).

No parallel amps.

Hi!
Thanks for your feedback, appreciated!

It should be possible to use two external IRs, one loaded into Reverb IR. It does not work for you? What exactly happens if you try it?

Hi! Thank you for the feedback.
We are not doing anything crazy in Ampbox UI in terms of shopping experience. If you don't own the product, you can try it indefinitely. There are no popups or flashing screens. Just a modest button informing user that this amp/preamp can be purchased. It's very minimalistic.

In terms of presets - where would you put those instead? Is there a standard location for VST presets? Just wondering.

Thanks!

Post

Really like AmpBox.
One highly appreciated feature would be an option to "show only presets/amps/whatever I own".

Post

It is minimalistic, where I am annoyed is that the presets for all available products appear in the drop-down presets list. This leads you to the Demo page if you select a preset for an amp you don't own. If I don't own the Amp/pre I don't want to see it.
I would prefer that you added demo's somewhere out of the path of normal operation. Possibly a demo option in the settings dialog, and presets for these products appear when in demo mode and are removed if not purchased. To make this more annoying is the fact that Ampbox did not import my user presets from Reaxis, and I could find no option to do so?

As for the preset location, I don't know that there is a defacto standard location, I would say that the most common seems to be C:\User\Username\Documents\Manufacturer.

Again you have some great products, and I understand why you would want to integrate all of your products with something like Ampbox. Overall it seems really nice, but I have to question some choices that were made. As before, this is just one user's opinion and as no one else has said anything I'll assume I'm in the minority.

Thanks for taking the time to listen.

there are a couple of standard locations people seem to go for (AppData, Documents, etc.), but "Music" isn't one of them :D

So Is this a bug or a feature? Previously in ReAxis when you switched between modes (Rhy 1-2/LD 1-2-3/LD 1-2-3) the preset remained the same. In the Ampbox ReAxis Rhy LD1 And LD2 seem to be three separate presets. I don't know how the hardware works and I can live with either, but it seems like they should both operate the same?

Hi
