I assumed that is the config.ini file he actually used.
If so, the first 'correction' won't do anything strange, (unless he had a patch named Bass1 Code.fxp, for which it will then ascribe the author as being by a sound designer named AuthorName :-))

but the second one will add two categories, I am pretty sure he doesn't want there.

True. I usually double-click AMT to get a mute asap.

Thanks for the update, Richard!

Now DUNE is almost complete.

All I want is 2 pole filter types for Alpha, Polaris & Saturn.

Then DUNE will be perfect :) .

I have a question regarding the technical process. Would it be hard to implement an additional advanced option which allows us to select and lock the parameters we want to get randomized?
And what I am missing is a way to "watch" Genetics in action. I get that it must be located in the browser tab to select the sound categories.
But I would also like to be able to see and find the altered parameters immediately to quickly edit or correct them if I don´t like the result. In the current state, we have to go back and forth and search everything to find what has been changed. Or if this is too complex to implement, maybe a button which generates a document export with all the changes made.

Just a few ideas but nothing too important..
Thanks again for the great update!
Cool ideas! :)

Someone emailed us with a somewhat related suggestion, using those "DNA dots" which are currently a visual gimmick to tweak the result. We'll have to dabble with a few ideas and see what is realizable and works best in practice :)

Richard_Synapse wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 8:38 pm We like the new Silicon machines :) We would have released the native VST3s earlier but there was little/nothing to test them with. Now there's Bitwig and it appears to be working very well on M1, as far as we can tell.
Ableton Live will also have native M1 support as of 11.1, which is currently in beta.
There's also FL Studio, Studio One, Reaper, Acon Digital Acoustic, Gig Performer, MOTU Digital Performer, and Tracktion Waveform, all native and out of beta.

Cool- have to check Reaper M1 again, didn't work for me while it was in beta. Hope Cubase will be ported soon, too :)

Reaper is the odd duck of the bunch. VST2 bridging of Intel plugins, but not VST3 or AU. The AU one floors me, since that's so easy to do because Apple already provides the hosting bridge for it.

It says here ( https://www.synapse-audio.com/news-dune35update.html ) that some new factory patches have been added. Does anyone have a list of the new ones, thanks?
Yes, here you go:

pierb wrote: Mon Nov 15, 2021 2:04 am Just installed it and everything was smooth. Love the new preset browser and the drag and drop modulation!

Now that we have this luxurious preset browser... it would be great if there were macros right here in the browser (for users that don't care about synthesis) and a way for libraries to have a cover image.

Anyway, thanks Richard for this!
Good ideas-the cover images we had already planned, just didn't make it into the first version yet.

Thank you for the 3.5 update, it delivers on the much awaited preset browser and adds further functionality which is sure to open new creative possibilities. I played with the Genetics and can't believe what I am hearing!

Here is one idea for the next version ;)

Have a look at "DS Thorn" - this VST allows you to control modulation depth visually from within a modulated control via CTRL + Mouse pointer drag up or down (this will eliminate the need to click the Mod Matrix tab in DUNE which will make modulation a seamless experience directly from within each modulated control, with modulation amount visually shown around the outer circumference of the modulated knob - it's a beautifully simple concept).

If you click on the above links to the DS Thorn page here on KVR you will see what I mean: on OSC1 OSC2 and OSC3 "Pos" parameter/knobs - do you see the orange/yellow bit around the lower left outer edge of these knobs? That's the modulation amount on those controls. The same with the "Harmonic Filter" where the modulation is actually at around 60% (or 1PM).

Grab the DS Thorn demo to experience it and maybe take a couple of ideas from there.

Thank You.

Wishlist, yeah always not satisfied are we? ;)

- visual feedback (optional)
- the genetic morph is great, i hope this gets even further improved!
- maybe a bypass button for each modulation

Somehow not many wishes so far, i really was disappointed with v3 but now im a happy owner!
