I was thinking about adding the "transientness" control to the screen.
Transient crossover is also a spectral crossover. It splits the signal into individual frequencies and sends the transient parts for each of them into the highest band etc. It marks each frequency with its "current transientness" (defined by the percentage scale that you can see on the X axis in the crossover band editor) and puts it into the appropriate band. The crossover is linear-phase and fully transparent.
In Tagirijus' original preset it is set to100% which does not seem intuitive. But I do not understand fully how it works. ;)

2. Yeah, I set the crossover transient thing to 100% ... since I was also not absolutely sure how it is supposed to work, while 100% sounded ok to me, but I did not test it that much.

Ah, my bad, too busy playing with it. I fixed those, and also added in Saturation for both EQs, a nice feature that we get here and is not in the original ;)

The crossover is linear-phase and fully transparent.
Based on this, I labelled the first EQ "Tonal EQ" and the second "Transient EQ". So Input 1 to the Mixer is the Tonal component and Input 2 is the Transient component. But if I turn down the Transient Volume on the GUI I hear the transients and if I turn down the Tonal Volume I hear the tonal part.

What have I misunderstood?

Turning Level Slope up to 100% seems to fix it.... at least for the transients.

-- added MultiAnalyzer after the Crossover to view the Tonal and Transient components (in Edit mode only, obs)

The Tonal/Transient splitting is only available in plugins that end in 'MB' and MXXX, so the equalizers don't have it on their own.

However, if you buy MXXXCore and MDynamicEQ, you'll have all the functionality you need for 85€ during the sale.

This whole thing, tinkering with the presets and building on the work of others etc has given me a bit of kick to learn how to make custom GUIs. I've rebuilt the concept we were working on from the ground up, using the dynamic EQ module, saturator and stereo processor modules, along with a few extras. If I package this up as a product rather than a device, would other people be able to use it in MXXX Core if they don't own the modules I've used? In the same way you can package up things from MSoundFactory for the lite users?

You don't need MSaturatorMB for this preset. Just MXXXCore and M(Auto)DynamicEQ.
