They were stating somewhere on GS that they are adding additional features and that finishing it up is taking longer than expected ... just hoping it's not a Cytomic Scream or Zynaptiq Vocoder type situation

i really hope this dude finds a way to drastically reduce the CPU hit of his plugins.
the VSR S24 is my favourite verb, i just wish i could make it my go-to. first world problematics

With this on sale again, I figured I’d give it a trial again. Still crashing my Studio One 5.4 on Windows 10 Pro. Oh well….

Also of great concern now is Apple M1 and VST3 support.

Hopefully Martin is porting everything over for both and that’s what has been the hold up.

Wish we’d get an update on that.

Weird. Works fine in Studio One 4.6 on Windows 10 Home.

The Quantec guys said their reverb algorithms cannot be made into a plugin.

Relab had a TC Electronic reverb emulation plugin. They took it off the market as soon as TC Electronic released native VST versions of VSS4 and VSS3 reverbs. Their version was just not up to par with real the thing.

Where did they say that? Source?

Is Quantec using special math? Now granted, they may have coded on specialized DSP's, which means porting to an x86 type of architecture may be difficult, but it's all just software.

It's quite well known that the VSR-S24 was pulled because a full blown System-6000 plugin is in the works. Not because it wasn't up to par. I've got the VSR-S24 and it's truly excellent. As with all the Relab verbs.

Admittedly it's from a private conversation that was had with Sigi many years ago. Take from it what you will.

I could make more nonsense if I wanted to.

What's going on with this thing? As someone else said, on its own it doesn't seem to sound that good, it's not super-smooth etc., and yet it does appear that you can apply it liberally without losing the clarity of the instruments. It doesn't seem to create any unwanted artefacts. I'm liking it, but of course it's making me want the fuller featured version.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Its digital technology, the only reason could be that they can’t do it (I doubt that, but they might not want too…) Or they would prevent it out of their copyright. Which is almost impossible. Any patent should have been run out, and to code it without copying code from their machines isn’t rocket science either…
If you read their web site, there is a ton of snake oil speech… Mostly to hide their real innovation I guess…
If they would do it themself there would be much less risk to loose their hardware business model, instead they could move their business into this millennium…

Does anybody have v1.0 installer? I learned that 2.0 doesn't work in Reaper, and the devs don't seem to care. But some people say they had luck with v1.0

Contact tech support and I'm sure they can get an older version to you.
