After the Hazdiha and Torgbe choirs, and the Nanfo instrument library, we've released a solo vocal from Ghana. This also has true legato sampling, which was a lot of work as the Ewe language has seven different vowels and we also did m sustains. In addition to all that legato there are 15 syllables, which can be used to assemble short phrases ranging from "something of wonder" for the meditation tracks to "kill them" for the drill beats.

Over 4000 samples, 1.5 GB, works in Sforzando, unlocked WAV files included as usual. Enough stuff that the long syllables patch, which uses every single sample, requires raising Sforzando's default RAM allocation setting before you load it.

Walkthrough:

And demos, not so much on the drill beat side of things:

This one also uses Nanfo... and Orcophony.

$19 intro price ($39 regular) or get it with Hadziha, Torgbe and Nanfo as part of the Ghana bundle for $69 ($129 regular). Both discounts valid until December 6th.

Frankly, I don't think that these demos make the vocal library justice.

In fact, I hope they don't. ;-) Especially the last, monotonous song with a "choir" that never stops to take a breath – I get a feeling of breathlessness after less than half a minute.

I hope there are some upbeat demos to come to help a purchasing decision along. Until then…
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Perhaps put the breaths back in as their own articulation? :phew:
That would be different....

Haha, I was as surprised by the style of those demos as y'all. Kinda wanted a deep house one, but seems like that won't happen anytime soon. But this did. Both also using Nanfo.

This one's probably a better demo of Nanfo, using that very prominently while the vocal is quiet for the most part.

Hopefully that's better at showing various stylistic contexts, and not just the New Age, meditation music, drone end of things.

I was looking for energy, words and syllables that can be used for accents and rhythm building. Maybe this library just isn't designed for this kind of use?

That's fair. It's more laid back than the choir libs, for sure. Those are more shouty, this has legato for flowing melodies.
