Has been 'on-the-list' for a couple of years. Got a great deal on a super clean used one.

They have one sale per year apparently, it's a newsletter early access thing for now. Not sure
you can get to the limited color versions without subscribing yet.

Got one of those NTS-1 kits delivered last week, but only tried to build it Friday. It was faulty, just had a constant OSC light and nothing responded, no LED display etc. First time I've ever got a replacement thing from Amazon and have to say the baldy not-quite-space cowboy has got something right, I ordered a replacement which is coming today and returned the package in a local shop in 2 minutes. Just hope this one works.
Don't know if I was just unlucky with the first one, but some of the screws didn't seem to fit properly, meaning some wouldn't go in flush, even though it was more an aesthetic thing than affecting function. Fiddly work though building it, reminded me of my Grandad whose hobby sideline was fixing the intricate clockwork mechanisms in watches.

@WTG, ask SliC because I think you were just unlucky. He's been raving about his and I'm seeing the same wherever I read. At least, I hope it is just an unlucky unit because It's on my list to buy. I just always end up getting something else instead!
Thanks to Pekbro, I just ordered a Vezzpa too. This one looks fun.

Yeah hopefully will be building the replacement kit tomorrow. I already have a bit of insight into what I'm getting as I've got a Minilogue XD, but I really like some of the third party reverbs and delays (like cathedral and submarine) and will probably be using them on a general hardware FX bus even if I'm not using the oscillator much.elxsound wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 12:08 am @WTG, ask SliC because I think you were just unlucky. Update: my company's VPN went down for half an hour today, long enough to build the NTS-1 and check it out. It's so cool, some lovely sounds from what's already on the box, I love the Waves oscillator through the Space reverb.
Had to source a couple of cables that do stereo mini jack to mono XLR, but should get them tomorrow. I miss having a Maplin in town that could make up cables for you on spec quickly though I guess ordering online is actually a lot cheaper. I know the cheapest way is to make your own cables, but life's too short for that bs.
Can't believe the USB MIDI in worked first time, I had a nightmare getting my Minilogue XD working with it.
I guess it just piggybacks on the same driver?
Edit: found an old stereo mini jack to mono 1/4" plugs so I could stick the input through a micpre into my DAW.
Wow, it sounds great. I hope Sinevibes have a BF sale, I like the look of their korg -logue plug collections but they are v pricey.

Yeah, they didn't have that in stock and even at -20% $840 was a bit rich for me atm.
gotta save that one for later.
*Mostly they didn't have it in stock, probably it will be some time before it's available for that
price again, but I didn't want to wait for the vendor to get it. That's one pedal I don't want to
buy direct because it would incur import fees. If I'm going to spend that much direct, I might
as well get a custom from them anyway.

Pekbro, C'mon man!! I don't know this company either. Checking them out now.
Just ordered this limited edition version of MOOD on sale too.
I've got one already, so I'll have to decide which one I'd like to keep. I love black-outs, so I'm sure I'm selling off the OG, but we'll see.

Just ordered this limited edition version of MOOD on sale too.
