Hmmm then I think more info may be needed from the OP. Maximoog can you please post a Cakewalk project where the issue occurs ? I'll test the project here and see what happens. :)

Thanks for testing everybody... :tu:

Is there a way to use Genetics with presets located within different folders?
For example select one Pad + Bass + Arp.

YES THERE IS:

CTRL + Click as many preset folders as you'd like and they become selected therefore the presets inside those folders are dynamically displayed in the presets list hence you can combine presets from multiple folders and use Genetics on them.

I think Genetics is a revolutionaty functionality, a true USP (not to mention you've turned our soundbanks into endless realms for exploration).

I started normally with an empty song in Cubase. Then played the first three tracks, selected the sounds in the browser and from the fourth track I could not open the browser.

I tried the whole thing again in an empty project in Cubase and Cakewalk, loaded four instances of DUNE each, in the first three I can open the browser normally and from the fourth again not.

I hope it's really not Windows 11, unfortunately I have no way to test on Windows 10.
I think it is Windows 11 related. Like the others with Windows 10, I loaded 7 instances in latest Cubase 11 and I have no problem with the browser.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

There is no reason to rush to Windows 11. Windows 10 will be fully supported for a few more years, until retirement on Oct 14, 2025.

If you want to check it out, just get a 2nd hard drive and dual boot, or use another computer so that you always have a fallback.

Expanding on the concept of a front based browser, illustrated below shows how the browser patch list can be filtered down to expand the patch list numbers up to 26 or even 40 at any one time. That's an extra 3 or 17 more than what you have at present. Patches are colour coded to identify what type they are also. Categories would be selected from a right click menu in order to filter them.

For example choose three sequence patches and let it generate something new. Results will be auto-named and can be saved into the Genetics folder for future tweaking.

Or select Auto and let it pick two patches to use as parents. Very cool. :tu:
This is really cool. One thing i’ve been missing from u-he synths, since playing with a similar function in Microtonic. So easy to get inspired.

Wasnt planning on getting synths this time but this is becoming tempting

Edit: what’s this white skin?

Yes, the genetics produces awesome results fast. However, I found it still needs tweaking 100% of the time, minor, but still. I would if genetics produced some basic sources and destinations in the Matrix, to make it easier to tweak the newly generated patches. For instance, a simple constant to Filter would be a start, set at zero, but this is very minor suggestions. I'd love to see this feature updated with more options if possible, If not, is great as is. Cheers

Please reach out to parawave audio rapid synthesizer and see how their synth is. You guys together are making the two best synths out there imo.

See how they handle implementing importing multisamples. I offered them my suggestion and they nailed it flat. I bet they wouldn't mind sharing the code with you.
You're on the beta testing team, yet you rarely post there. You're looking a bit like a freeloader to me.

Well, you didn't post once regarding the new beta, but came here to make FRs after it was released, and then started posting about a new bank, so.....

Did I mention how awesome Dune sounds? No? well... it does. Wish I could just give my license for Serum away.
