Any free 32 bit vst host that can sync to midi clock?

I have an old laptop that used to be high end with an E-mu 1616m cardbus interface that is collecting dust. I was thinking of using it to run some 32 bit plugins that i am still fond of. Is there any free 32 bit vst host that can sync to external midi clock? Something like Savihost with sync capabilities would be enough.

The 60 day unrestricted trial version of AudioMulch is still available for download. That's 32 bit, with external sync/clock chase.

If you have a Renoise license you can still download old 32 bit versions (just checked) with external clock sync, but yah: "not free".
I don't recall PedalBoard2 having MIDI clock sync, but it's also 32bit and still available if you want to take a look. It's free.

Maybe Buzz had external sync? Not sure; my Buzz days are decades ago. Loved it at the time though.
Anyway, looks like you can download 32 bit versions of Buzz from as far back as 2009 if you want to check; also free.

Hmm.. still available is the tricky part.

If Buzz had external sync you'll want Polac's VST/VSTi Loader:

Funny; now I want to revisit Buzz. Checking out where it's at, and seeing all the Buzz Machines/Plug-ins still available (https://buzz.robotplanet.dk) has got me interested again. Perhaps I'll get that MIDI sync you're after going; will let you know if I do.
On that note, it seems from reading some threads on Buzz Forums (https://forums.jeskola.net/search.php?k ... clock+sync) that to get sync happening you'll need a Buzz Machine/Plug-in for it (Of course; it's Buzz! Should have known
), but developments are (surprisingly) still afoot!

PVST Beta 7 - "midivst: midi clock/mtc/mmc out"
Also, if Rewiring Buzz is an option for you this may work:

Alright, I'll shut up about Buzz.

Cantabile Lite is free; old 32bit builds available.
Archived 32 bit builds available for all versions..
Appreciated.

Not sure if the free version syncs to external clock, but re: your request for "Something like Savihost..." I'd say this might fit the bill.

Ummm...Audiomulch, yes, last night I remembered that one, I will give it a try, thanks. The thing with sync is that many programs have Midi Time Code Sync, but not Midi Clock, and though people seem to mistake one for the other, they are very different things.allofdrab wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 12:26 am The 60 day unrestricted trial version of AudioMulch is still available for download. Thanks, I already checked that one and no, to get Midi Clock sync you need the Pro (i.e. the top) version.allofdrab wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 7:23 am Cantabile Lite is free; old 32bit builds available.

The latest version can be always downloaded here:allofdrab wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 12:37 am If Buzz had external sync you'll want Polac's VST/VSTi Loader:

What in any case does work is the other way round, Polac VSTi(the bundled midivst.dll actually) generates midi clock as master. IIRC there was also a machine to sync to other hosts via midi clock, don't know the machine name however.
