Im helping a friend with collecting background sounds/noises for Dungeon & Dragons sessions.
I have already have a lot of sound fx but they are way too short and looping gets annoying.
They should be longer than lets say 30 minutes so looping doesnt become apparent. (I Will Edit the audio to fit what the Dungeon master needs).
Any free or commercial sounds available?
Should be 16bit 44.1khz atleast. If encoded atleast 192 kbps mp3 so they han be editor.
Also things like medieval towns/villages with voices in the background etc is of interest.

for dnd, yeah!
you want a sort of ambient bed, that sounds like a dark sinister world scape
take normal sounds and stretch them a bit to create a familiar but warped feel.
layers of these, looping in and out should be enough to create the feeling you want, without being too distracting for the players.
freesound is a website, where people upload all kinds of sounds, if you can think of it, someone has probably posted it.
paulstretch is an excessive timestretcher.

Any sound library portal like ASoundEffect and Soniss will have a gazillion commercial libraries of this type.
Many of these commercial libraries will have sample or taster sets for free.
Also, check out the Sonniss 'GDC' free downloads. Its a stupid amount of free samples now, 70Gb or so, stuff given away every year since 2015 for the GDC conference.
Also, have a look at what's available on game dev asset stores, like itch.io, maybe even the Unity store, though you do need to use Unity to get access.
Also there are places that specifically target RPG games; Drive Thru RPG has some stuff tailored for this sort of thing, for example (right down to 'Fantasy Tavern Ambience' etc)
Also, maybe freetousesounds 'all in one bundle) for cheap ($25) naccess to a vast (>1Tb) shitload of environmental stuff, recorded all over the world. Mostly modern cities, but its, like pocket money, and you'll often find discounts off -that- at places like BedRoomProducers website.
Finally, always, freesound.org

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

How about mynoise and tweak the volumes to taste (or turn on slider animation). e.g. - https://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/medie ... erator.php
