Hi,
as my new computer from that fruity company will hopefully arrive soon and IL plugins don't run natively on it i'd like to know how good and easy FL Studio is running as a VST to host it's internal instruments and effects?

- Is setup easy to just pass MIDI from my actual DAW to it's FL Studio's instruments so i don't have to use FLS other than hosting the plugins?
- same question for effects: easy setup to directly pass audio into it and basically use them as regular plugins inside my DAW or some major routings required?

and last but not least: how good / trouble free is it running on M1 Macs?

thanks,
Jan

Yes, but not automation ...that has to be done in the playlist in the FLS VSTi

No!
The FLS VSTi doesn´t have any audio inputs...you cannot route any audio into it...it´s a pure instrument...
The only workaround would be to insert audio clips into the playlist and process them internally in the VSTi version... as the sequencer runs tempo synced with the host...

No idea... a convinced Windows guy here... :tu:

General speaking: I am not a big fan of the FLS VSTi version...
It doesn´t sync well when looping and is very cumbersome to work with imho...

For just triggering FL native instruments it might work well but if you have to integrate automation clips or anything which has to live in the playlist, it´s performance is not very convincing!

Ok thanks, was expecting something like this

P.S.: i like Windows too, the new M1 chips were just good enough reason to get into the world of Apple (though i already had iPad(s)))
