They wanna make some money in an low-interest economy with hefty inflation tendencies?
So long as there are enough gear sl*ts buying everything discounted, vintage, coded by Ray, emulating big name stuff, endorsed by Jordan Ruddess and so on they will be fine...

Well this should be a fun movie to watch.
Interesting information on Owler.

Anyway there can be nothing but speculation at this point including what the future may hold for IK.
But like I said it should be fun to watch this play out. Get your ticket, grab some popcorn, find your seat, and enjoy the show.

Probably why they just gave away a large section of their future potential earnings over time for the quick hit 'buy 1 get 25 free sale!' - Generous as it was, is there anyone in the music world that wanted an IK product that now doesn't already own it!

VC cash flows to those companies in need, and with a ROI that meets/exceeds expectations. The challenge - it's often not a long-term perspective (if there is such a thing anymore). Once the investors achieve what they intend, off to the next company. I hope these businesses getting the VC infusion are able to hang-in there long-term. Having gone through this first hand, VC expectations can be high in terms of growth and ROI. I guess time will tell....

roli had a terrible business model though
"high end controllers that we sell to people, who most companies give stuff to, to advertise it so millions buy it"
and no history as a company, just a Kickstarter idea really.
which showed when they got the cash and hired pharrell.

Just focus on all the great high quality boutique devs we have. And ignore these big business that are propably lead by venture capitalists and not by music enthusiasts.
We have a great ecosystem in the audio world with these boutique devs and are not depended on the big ones for software, like it is with Adobe.
