the thing is I use FL and I'm very happy with it, but I'd like to combine it with Cubase.
but the problem is that I have a Cubase demo to get familiar with before deciding to buy it, but I don't know, every time I open it I feel lost, used as I am to FL.
is there any introductory tutorial or something to start getting familiar with Cubase from scratch?
thx

It would be good to see a clear simple a,b,c to getting a sound out of cubase. But the first thing to do is set the sound card up correct – that helps, and introduce the synths you are going to use to the project. Open a new midi project from the template and start from there – the big difference – you need to adjust your thinking a lot to be able to use it, and that takes time if you are fully use to FL.
Its midi, and not pattern based – this has advantages – get the free tracktion as an idea of the difference – then re-look at cubase – it will help break the pattern based thinking.

FWIW, the complete manuals (including "Getting Started") can be downloaded by anybody from ftp.pinnaclesys.com .

I guess you should use an FTP client, log in and go to /Steinberg/download/Documents/Cubase_SX_3/English/. Then download whatever you need and open it with Acrobat Reader.
