I'm looking for effects that can do what Serum oscillators can do - quantize them smoothly by continuous number of steps, not neccessarily to 8-7-6 bits or similiar.

This is kind of powerful sound effect, but unfortunatelly not common ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Quantizing is sort of by it's nature just changing the number of set values that a signal can have. The simplest way would be by using 2 fixed point math gain changers in series then you turn one down and the other back up. You could also setup a macro control that turns the gain back up as the first is turned down.
There are floating point bitcrushers which give you some more options. Also you could whip something up in something like reaktor or any other modular system for this.
You could also do this with the free Melda waveshaper.
