Difference between samsung NVMe and SATA SSD

Hi All,
What is the difference between these two?

I am looking to buy a hard drive. Which one is better among these two? I see that NVMe are the latest.
Are they faster and better than traditional hard drives?
Also, there are several versions of ssd. Which one should I get for music production?

NVMe is wayyy faster than SATA.
TLC is faster, has more endurance and less latency than QLC

What you can do is buy a smaller 980 PRO for the operational system + programs
and a 8TB 870 QVO SATA for the rest/libraries, but there are 4TB M.2 NVMe drives
with good prices.

Which one should I get for music production?

That depends on how you produce.

Do you use huge orchestral sampling libraries? Then you need a lot of space.
Do you record & mix multitrack raw audio? Then you need fast writing disks.
Do you noodle a bit with virtual synths? Then it doesn't matter that much.
Chances are the disk is not the bottleneck. A bog-standard SSD will be fine.

I do use large sample libraries and it is currently stored in external HDD drives . That causes some problems in few of the libraries.
I also use libraries like Omnisphere and Output Arcade which works best on SSDs I suppose.
There are different versions of NVMe. which one would be better to use? How significant would be the difference between SATA SSD and NVMe because the price difference is huge.
