Yeah, this would be one of the only times a product is in stock BEFORE we had put it up on the site.
We were sitting there with tons of them back from press and going "Uhhh. Let's put this up on the site shall we?". I guess the reason there was a delay was because there was a delay on the whole line of Premium refills. However, this one is out and a few others are coming soon. Then more after that.
Some new Sonic Refill volumes coming out as well in the not to distant future.

Squids, how does this set compare to the piano disk I got with the first group buy? What about the quality of the pianos SS2?

It's different than the Piano Collection. This is one LARGE grand piano in Reason. It's derived from a Yamaha C7 but has more samples across the keys, 3 dynamics and is in 16 and 24 bit. Of course the 24 bit one is over 200 megs! So, this is more for tracking a great piano wtih Reason.
Sonik Synth 2 has some killer pianos and the patch called "The One" is based on this triple strike grand piano. It's a little different in ST2 but at 152 megs it's yet one other VFM mark for SS2 (hopefully people see it that way anyway).
If you use Reason and you want a GREAT piano with the low rumble and the sparkling highs and warm mids with both punch and subtlety then this Premium Grand C7 refill has just the thing (and only that thing- the most focused library we've ever made: one sound! But, one GREAT sound.)

OK! I ordered it! Couldn't resist any longer. My wife is holding it and giving it to me for Christmas. I've agreed to look surprised.

Just kidding.
Thanks. I hope you like it.

maybe you can sneak it on to your hard drive, and play with it using headphones, without her knowing. lolDKeenum wrote:OK! I ordered it! Couldn't resist any longer. My wife is holding it and giving it to me for Christmas. I've agreed to look surprised.![]()

I've heard the term before, but I don't know what it means.

Triple strike is like a silly buzzphrase for a 3 dynamic piano that's all. Sorry. I got used to calling that sort of a thing triple strike from working with Yamaha. Did you guys know that me and Adam from SR did some programming on the main piano patch in the S90 and the Motif ES? We don't get credit for that kind of work but we've done it a lot over the years.
Anyway, this Premium Piano is maybe the best one we've done so far. I love it in Reason because Reason is also very efficient on the processor. So, it's a nice piano refill and great if you rewire it into a host DAW.

No need to apologize, like I said, I've heard the phrase before. It sounds classier than "3 dynamic piano".
TRIPLE STRIKE
Sounds like a special move in a fighting game.

I got my C7 Premium Refill and I love it. I got tired of watching Scott Wilke playing it for months and thanks to Squids, I now have my own to play. I have already used the piano to replace piano sounds in my songs I have used in Reason before and it is amazing. Outstanding quality. It actually came with more versions of the C7 than I expected. I am looking forward to buying the Guitar, Choirs, and strings. So, Squids when can we expect them?????

The others are coming. Next up is a Premium Acoustic Guitar that is out of this world. The strings and choirs will be not too long after but I think the next one after this is the Premium Drum Kits which is really fantastic.
Enjoy the piano! I actually recommend the 16 bit version when you are just writing and perhaps the 24 bit one when you are tracking it to audio (if your session is 24- otherwise stick with the 16 which takes less resources off your CPU).
