I like the least all of these guitars. My little hands can't handle Gibsons.

Really liked the L4 and the Sheraton; the first has that velvety woodiness you get from a fully hollow jazzbox (and the pups added a surprisingly nice clarity), and the second has a really nice balance of warmth and edge (but hey, P-Rails). Great mix of classic tones with a bit of modern polish.

I really, really want to like the Ibanezes, but they just sound too... I dunno, Ibanezzy? That weird [ɔː] overlaid with [æː] sound -- the vowels of generalized/broadcast American "bought" and "bat," which is probably more a DiMarzio thing. There's character, but it's greasy and irritating. Too... I dunno, creamy yet grating, I guess, that sleazy dark side of the '70s vibe.

I didn't dislike any of these.

But I loved the epi. Didn't love the Gibsons, and I do typically like Gibsons.

Into a different amp, tone rolled off, through a gain, bridge or neck etc etc is probably as much of a difference as guitar Vs guitar.

Overall, these all sounded like they could get you where you need to be with a tweak or two. Quality instruments all.

Nice comparison. Ultimately, I liked all of them. But the Epiphone edged it here.
