Can anyone recommend a pair of desk stands for the big old heavy KRK VXT 6's?

You can make them pretty easy, I used $8 worth of engine valve springs to make these. The total cost was maybe $20. I assure you the isolation from those springs is as good or better than anything you can buy at many times the cost. Not to mention the added isolation from the $7 foam pads. You need
valve springs because they are made to precise tolerances, e.g. they are exactly the same height.
They are also super strong, those stands will probably hold 100 lbs

I based them on these high-end speaker stands, these monitors are about $7k IIRC, their stands
are proprietary.
