A medieval-fantasy sample library for the goblin in you. Forget noble heroes and their brave deeds for a moment, this one's for sneaky, backstabbing gits.

A few demos in various styles on the page linked above. The general concept is inspired by the Campaign for Real Orcs.

$59 until December 6th (figured might as well let the intro price run through Black Friday season), $99 regular price.

The Orcettes look irresistible…

I haven't laughed so hard at an instrument presentation. Instant purchase!
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Thanks! Graphics by the wonderful Anded: https://twitter.com/andedalive

A few things in that pic are "wrong": the big bass is played left-handed and one tagelharpa bowed below the bridge. They were both really recorded like that, too.

And just added this demo... there are quite a few in styles ranging from chamber orchestra to Latin, but this one's the most dance-folk. And very nice.

Perhaps I'd better qualify that the source of my merriment wasn't the Orcophony library per se, but Mr. Smolken's inimitable presentation style.;-)

Orcophony itself is a carefully curated library that excels in the field of earthy ethnical or folk music (along with some purely Orcestral tongue-in-cheek excursions).

In other words, it's a far cry from the usual halloween freebies that sometimes pop up around this time of the year and a very valid instrument collection that could also add some spice to jazz and Americana music.

Great value for 59 bucks, if you're into expressive and slightly less polished music styles.

Thanks. I mean I could say this is a dark ages/horror library with all the rattling chains and bowed string FX and growls. But really, it can do a lot more than that, and we did have a good time recording some ridiculous stuff which wasn't really planned. Like, the helmet rings long like a bell, I asked if we can try putting some bones in there to mute it a bit, it turned out that makes them rattle, and 15 minutes later we were sticking a triangle in there and trying to find the angle at which it sounds nastiest.

Here it is doing serious chamber orchestra stuff, though.

Who had "Tito Puente" on their Orcophony demo styles bingo card?

And another demo on Soundcloud, this one has non-orc theremin and tavern ambience but other than those it's all orcs. But, just in time, very very Halloween!

It's nice to see the Orc love over here is KVR land!

Oh, and here's a track that's on Soundcloud... which I can't embed in the media section of our store, would have to put it in the description. So I'll just post it here, and let's consider it a demo anyway. It is quite orcish.

Better pic... also got Marie Ork shirts available, from our 2016 KVRDC entry. https://shop.karoryfer.com/products/marie-ork-t-shirt - those also come in women's sizes, and we still have medium...

And might as well ask... if we were to make a second orc-themed library, what instruments would you want to see included?
