No problem, one could easily mix things like this up, especially since it even came relatively late in 2020 IIRC (probably october or november?)
The GAS is always greener on the other side!

Think I bought it in 2021.
Still an awesome piece of software with a slight, yet rewarding learning - curve.

You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

VCV Rack 2 is the star for sure. That almost feels like cheating, though
For synths generally: OPS7. Extremely good and a steal at the intro price.
For FX, I guess Velvet Machine. I don't use it a lot, but when I do it sounds great, and at its price it deserves a place on the list.
Ruina is more versatile than I would have expected from such an extreme distortion plugin, and it's free. And it means my two Versio modules can be dedicated to other things.

Wow, I can't believe I forgot that one!
I guess, I really haven't had much time to use it yet, but I used Volcano2 for many years, so I'm sure Volcano3 will end up being at/near the top of my list for best of 2021 too.

SQ80 V, OPS-7 and Model 84 for me. Honorable mentions: Tape Echoes, VREV-666 & Dozer-Drive (love 'em, but use them less). Also, not really new plugins, but SuperMassive and VintageVerb updates deserve a mention.

My favorite plugins that came out this year are Neold Warble, FF Volcano3, and the Eventide Split EQ.
Honorable mention: Mixing Night Audio’s Green HAAS. Sure, it’s not really a fav but Ken Lewis has been an inspiration and I really appreciate all the knowledge he shares on his podcast. So check em out, both the plugin and the Mixing Night Audio podcast.

In no particular order, here are some of the plugins I use most often:
Boom Library Enrage, Devious Machines Infiltrator, Soundtoys Effect Rack, FabFilter Timeless 3 & Volcano 3, UVI Shade, Unfiltered Audio Sandman Pro, Triad & Lo-Fi-AF, Minimal Audio Rift, STW-Audio Reflex-Pro-X, Audio Damage Other Desert Cities, iZotope RX 9 Advanced, GRM Tools Complete Collection, Output Portal & Thermal, Waves SSL EV2 Channel & Smack Attack have all proved to be incredibly useful processors that help me sculpt the sound I'm after. I only wish there were more hours in a day.
