nothing happens when i drop a plug in on the app.machinesworking wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 6:55 pmAppears is the proper term, you can drag and drop a plug onto the app and it works, it just only scans the application folder.khollister wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 1:43 pm How are folks detecting the CPU architecture of AU plugins? The Silicon Info app only appears to work with applications, not plugins.

i don't see anywhere else to download it but at PA. the DS site just links to PA when clicking the download button.Ploki wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 9:57 amDon't download from PA tho. PA is holding back native releases because they don't have their own shit readymachinesworking wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 12:48 am I thought Thorn was native until I tossed it into the Silicon App
it's not beta either, it's same release as on PA except it's UB.

Turns out there are 2 different apps with similar names. The DigiDNA Silicon app from Github is the one you drag a plugin onto. The first app I found was Silicon Info (from the Apple App Store). It only reports on the active application - there is no drag & drop functionality.dayjob wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 7:22 pmnothing happens when i drop a plug in on the app.machinesworking wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 6:55 pmAppears is the proper term, you can drag and drop a plug onto the app and it works, it just only scans the application folder.khollister wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 1:43 pm How are folks detecting the CPU architecture of AU plugins? The majority of Spitfire Audio's libraries which run in their own plugins are now M1 native, including:
Abbey Road One 1.1
BBC Symphony Orchestra 1.5
Spitfire LABS 1.3.11
Originals 1.1.1x: Cimbalom, Drumline, Firewood Piano, Intimate Strings, Cinematic Soft Piano, Epic Strings, Cinematic Percussion, Felt Piano, Jangle Box Piano, Cinematic Pads, Media Toolkit
There are others, but most are still in beta and I can't verify them myself.

no problem but i just realized that apple's Activity Monitor will show if an app is intel or apple silicon. and in logic the AU Hosting Service plug in launches when a plug in is loaded and that also will say if it's intel or apple silicon.seagate2019 wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 9:15 pmThank you!dayjob wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 9:11 pm https://github.com/DigiDNA/Silicon/releases/tag/1.0.3

so, these apps are cool and fast and simple but activity manager works as well.
