Is there a way to compare your edit to the original patch without losing it?

You mean genetic? Good question.

Post

Genetic?

If you edit a preset then want to compare it to the original some synths you can compare them, flip back and forth, without actually saving it yet.

Post

No, you can't do that (unless you load 2 instances)

They get saved into the "Genetics" folder in the preset browser, as some kind of longish name made of random numbers and letters. You could click backwards and forwards between your original file and the Genetics file to compare. From memory i think the 2 or 3 presets in the genetics console thing will stay there until overwritten or the instance is closed.

How long (in seconds or minutes) do you think a Dune 3 pad could hold interest for on a single held note or chord?

Long drawn out stuff. Any tips to get there? (I'm not a sound designer by any means)

thanks - I bought it yesterday

Hi guys, do you know if the Satyatunes DUNE 3 Glacier White skin has been updated for 3.5 ?
I'm gonna buy it and was wondering if the update had already been released ?

everyone hears these things differently; how long would a pad hold interest for you?

fwiw, the greatest 'long pad' i've ever found is joseph hollo's 'alice in wonderland' (from his padsheaven2 soundbank for zebra2). amazing what happens over the time you hold a note...

Is there a way to create your own Categories in the new 3.5 browser ?
I've got different folders for Leads, with all my mono legato Leads in one place, or different kind of folders for Pads, Pads 1, Pads 2...

With the browser, all the Leads must be in the same Lead folder to be recognized, and so different leads in folders named Leads 1 and Leads 2 will end up uncategorized

If it's not possible, it could be a pretty useful feature to make the browser even better:)

OK I understand, I will look into it, don't worry I'll check out the config file you mention, think that's exactly what I need to organize the folders.
Thanks again man :tu:
