Waves dont have a Shadow Hills comp, you must have mixed up nx for Plugin Alliance bx Shadow Hills?dream22 wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 12:40 am Anyone know if the codes for the 2 Waves freebies can be resold? You probably assumed that Syntronik 2 is a whole new instrument alongside the old Syntronik. It seems that Syntronik 2 simply replaced Syntronik Deluxe, as the old version is no longer available on the product page. So, Syntronik 2 means a new interface/engine with the Syntronik Deluxe contents. Considering the price level, you get the deluxe content (all 22 synths) for free when you buy the standard version of Syntronik 2. Now, when you want the new content, you have to get Syntronik 2 MAX, which adds 11 new synths, and that's the stuff you're missing.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 6:18 pmHow many presets are included in Syntronik 2 that weren't in the older synth models from Syntronik Deluxe?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 5:53 pmSyntronik 2 has 4000+ presets. No, Syntronik 2 adds some synths that weren’t in Deluxe like the CAT in my screenshot before, but I only see three presets with it.holdenhk wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 2:59 amYou probably assumed that Syntronik 2 is a whole new instrument alongside the old Syntronik. It’s not listed in the Deluxe synths here…
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/syntronik1deluxe/
Or was this just included as a ‘teaser’ for the new synths and you have to get Max to have a decent amount of content?
Actually, as is usual with IK it’s all a bit confusing with contradictory statements on their site. Under Syntronik 2 here…
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/s ... /#whatsnew
…it mentions the 11 new synths in Syntronik 2, but in the comparison of versions matrix it says Syntronik 2 has 22 synths, but Max has 33.

Hmm... I have Syntronik 2 CS, and I definitely can't see the Cato. Also, if you check the page that compares all Syntronik versions, Cato IS NOT included in the plain Syntronik 2: However, if you have the MAX versions, there are supposed to be 122 presets for the Cato alone:WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:04 am No, Syntronik 2 adds some synths that weren’t in Deluxe like the CAT in my screenshot before, but I only see three presets with it.

I think it’s the fault of their matrix. It shows 3 CATO presets against Syntronik 2 CS, which I guess is what I’m seeing. I probably have CS content as well as full v2.
So, what a con then. Ik gonna Ik.
Stupid bloody bundle names don’t help. Having just bought a package named “Total Studio Max” latest version which supposedly contains everything, about a week or two later they release extra content which they expect you to pay a small fortune for.

I was not able to see the new synths teasers in Syntronik 2, even though I just reinstalled the Syntronik CS sound pack. Then, I tried Sample Tank 4, and, YES, the new synths became visible! So, back to Syntronik 2, and CATO and others are here as well. Good, old IK! How not to love them?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:19 am I think it’s the fault of their matrix. BTW, did you really buy the standard Syntronik 2?

No, I upgraded from Total Studio 2 MAX to 3.5 and got it as a free update. I also had upgraded to Syntronik Deluxe at some point so not sure if that factored in.holdenhk wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:28 amI was not able to see the new synths teasers in Syntronik 2, even though I just reinstalled the Syntronik CS sound pack. Man, I’d have been ultra pissed off if I’d paid for Syntronik 2.
Their upgrade prices now are such a ripoff. I think from normal Syntronik to Deluxe was something like €49, but now they’re asking three times more to upgrade from 2 to 2 Max.
Meh, I played the waiting game on the total studio max upgrade until it was better value, will do the same for this.

Before I read your post, I didn't realize that the newly advertised MAX 3.5 doesn't contain Syntronik 2,although it contains FAME, TEAC's and TASCAM's. That's a bit mean, although I can't say a bad word about IK after their 25GB steal of the century...

It was released very shortly after MAX 3.5 came out so presumably the marketing blurb wasn’t updated, but I did get v2 for free. Maybe it was timing when I bought it, last day of the sale I think.holdenhk wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:39 am Before I read your post, I didn't realize that the newly advertised MAX 3.5 doesn't contain Syntronik 2,although it contains FAME, TEAC's and TASCAM's. I wouldnt have thought you could say anything bad about IK in light of the 25 products for the price of one but now I wonder. What is the value of lost productivity and a massive amount of frustration injected into the music making process. After 2 weeks and 75gb of downloads my Syntronic looks just like the prvious posters just 2 or 3 presets. Not only that, I right away downloaded Modo Bass and Modo Drums , installed and authorized. Now, 2 weeks later Modo Bass is in demo mode and I have to reauthorize and the Brickwall Limiter is now "not correctly installed" This is a mess. The problem is IK has a Products Manager, an Authorization Manager and a My Products page. Apparently any one of those can show a product installed but it never was.I was away from IK for years so this could be user error but why hasnt this process been streamlined like Native Access??? I still dont know what I have or whats really installedWatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:43 amIt was released very shortly after MAX 3.5 came out so presumably the marketing blurb wasn’t updated, but I did get v2 for free. Syntronik 2 SHOULD have about 1400 new presets vs deluxe, but no new instruments. That said, I might wait till a 30th anniversary group buy before getting it-- lots of other stuff out there that looks more interesting.
