This is a good advice and philosophy. I like it.

In that regard, it would be really cool if more people (here) would show off some of their sounds or creations. For example: In the early ages of Rapid, Granular was always a highly demanded feature. But as soon as it got implemented, everyone stopped mentioning it. As if it became some hidden unspeakable secret. No videos, no soundcloud demos. What's going on here  :D ?

Is it still NFR?

Yes, it is still a Non Financial Risk. You buy it once, no risk, and you'll love it (I heared)

be sure the granular feature is always used by me, so this is no hidden or bad feature! :)

the heavy thing which annoys me is that drag and drop sample is always not fluid but mentioned in a window you have to accept

 Good one. Sadly the recent trend of f*cking up products confirmed me to not buy into NFR software. I'll ask next year again :D

I second that. Loyal & proud owner of Rapid since 2016. :phones:

Yeah “non financial risk” isn’t a thing anymore with software. I just assume any software I buy (aside from Logic) can be rug-pulled in a matter of seconds. Strangely enough, Apple has been the most dependable regarding support and updates. Never would’ve thought that.

Fair enough, apologies.

I second that all import functions are made very clunky. Rapid has put all possible barriers to me from downloading my waveforms and sounds and I would happy if there will be more drag & drop.

wondering if there is any plan for V2 and if yes what feature we can expect

Granular is my favorite part of Rapid and I think it's one of the best granular engine around at the moment! So don't worry Parawave, I'm sure I am not the only one. People love it and are probably busy using it instead of whining around in forums :). ...I'm a photographer and I love Sigma lens, but I don't post my photogrpahy work in the Sigma forums telling everyone here is a shot taken with a Sigma lens. So don't worry :D

The only downside is the a bit clunky sample-import, as some other Rapid users mentioned. Lot of steps, select the Single or Multi or Resynthesis, then select the root note (not sure why we have to do this, it's the first sample based-synth I have to do this when importing a sample into a granular engine), then click the force loop (I think that one should simply be the default setting), click Import... But hey I'm sure you guys @Parawave are already very aware of that. Beside that, I love it and I think Rapid's granular capabilities are fantastic.

Same.

Rapid seems good, but NFR means no buy from me.

Devs can f**k up their products (eg: how Izotope abandoned a number of products that won't be updated to ARM) or there are limitations you don't realize until you've used a product for some length of time.

Edit:

Oh and also the shady practice of adding 20% VAT tax to anyone even outside the EU.

Whilst this is true, it effectively renders the products worthless for resale anyway- case in point, IRIS 2 was being given away with any purchase from a plugin store recently....

Buying any software thinking you may be able to resell it and get a decent amount (or any) money back is a risky game...the market is swamped with bargain's and give always!

I am not practically trying to defend NFR, but if you demo and really like something, its worth a 'risk' at the sale price.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I think it's not like that. It's the same as other sellers do. If you have VAT, price reflects that so they get less from you. If you are no VAT customer price stays the same so they earn more. Exactly the same happens when you buy e.g. from Kilohearts. I haven't seen anyone complaining there.

Depends. Izotope Trash and Exponential Audio reverbs are totally fine on Windows.

It's true, but that's better than having a product you won't/can't use for any reason.
