BONES wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 12:29 am My prediction is that nobody interested in this thread will release anything worth listening to. Because when I look to 2022, I am thinking about the timeline for finishing an EP and then an album before next December. The tools I might use to achieve that goal are largely unimportant, getting the work done is.
I don't think anybody care's what you are working on or doing. To save yourself time, stop posting in my threads or others if you having nothing to contribute. Hope one day you stop being mad the world, and learn to be a better person than what you show on here.

Looking forward the release of FL Studio 21 and Mulab 9. Hope both will include ARA.
Hope that Hollyhock follows in the steps of FL Studio, Reason and Mulab and be available as a VST.
Plugin Guru will release the Unify Pro DAW in 2022.

My interest is in observing the stupidity of people, not in the subject matter of this thread. I have amended my original post to make this clearer.

I wouldn't expect that anyone would.

By "nothing to contribute", I assume you mean nothing that agrees with your preconceived notions of how the world is? i.e. That you are only interested in people who see things exactly as you do, presumably because you have no confidence in your own thought processes and rely on being in the middle of the herd in the hope no-one will notice.
Hope one day you stop being mad the world, and learn to be a better person than what you show on here.
Again, what you really mean is that you want me to agree with you, to give you more confidence in your own opinions. Sorry but I'm only interested in reality and the reality is that way too many people around here are far more interested in the process than in the results. Seriously, why would you start this thread and not one asking people what music they think they will be making next year? I'm sure that people on gardening forums don't ask what gardening tools people will be buying next year and people on painting forums don't ask what paints or artboards people will be buying, so forgive me if it feels completely pathetic that people around here are more interested in the tools than the music we make with them. Because, honestly, it is seriously f**ked up.

21 is going to be pretty big I think.

Worried are we?
Honestly there's nothing wrong with irrelevant threads, people wasting time talking about things that don't matter. A bigger man would ignore threads they deem silly, there's no point in arguing things like relevance, whether X DAW is better or worse if you actually have a dog in the argument.

I'll go even a step further, I've been messing with this stuff as long as you have and it doesn't matter as far as the content of what I write, but it does matter as far as what is produced. It's not arguable that I produce differently than I did in the 80's with a MIDI sequencer Mirage and Moog. DAWs don't have a "sound" but the ease of use of DAWs now with the audio editing abilities and plug ins does alter the sound.

Even writing in a block sequence type DAW like Live VS Cubase or DP etc. changes the way you approach writing, not maybe as massively as cheap synths and distortion on guitar changes things, but it does. So maybe there isn't an inherent stupidity to wondering what is coming with DAWs in the future? I guess it's pointless in the sense that nothing solid can be discussed, but how much truly relevant is discussed on KVR? most of it is idle chatter, and calling people idiotic for it is like kicking water uphill, and flatly idiotic in it's own way.

The “X” was dropped from Logic Pro, which seems to suggest that it is no longer “10”, just a DAW that will get continuous updates. OTOH, the updates are called “10.x” and v10.9 is only a few major updates away, so who knows?

It's I think pretty obvious that Logic will just be updated without new upgrade cost for the time being, maybe forever. Apple I would bet are reserving the right to charge by simply letting it ride like it has been, and that makes sense. The system requirements for Logic are pretty stringent, which pays for Logic development on it's own really.

The only completely pathetic and seriously f**ked up thing in this thread is how deep your head is up your ass.

On topic: I think FL Studio will have a big update in 2022 and make me buy it.

Yeah, I agree that seems to be the case. But, it does beg the question of what they will do with the versioning after v10.9 is released in a year or two.

But even if Apple does release a v11 and charge me another $199, I wouldn’t complain. It’s still the best bargain in the DAW world IMO (aside from maybe Cakewalk) and I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth with this version Logic.

If I was Apple I would take some of those Studio One features (Chord Track etc).

Last years 10.5 would have easily been Logic 11 with Live Loops, New Samplers, Step Sequencer, Remix FX if only it were another DAW. Seems like it will go like this.

10.8 might bring Chord Track, Track/Plugin search, some more drag and drop, 32bit support and maybe a better browser.
