I still use and rate Trash 2, wonder if this means there may be an update?

Looks like a lot of good stuff no longer being developed....Of all the things to pick to continue development on, stutter edit

Wow, to me, that's a huge list of very useful plugins that deserve to be maintained and updated. I'm also a little surprised that there are no plans for the Exponential Audio reverbs. Since they were acquired by iZotope, I assumed they would be continually updated or end up having their tech show up in new iZotope plugins. I guess time will tell.

yeah.. seems like Trash 3 would be popular but i guess 'not planned' means they disagree

Pretty sure they are still developing plugins using the tech, they just have discontinued development going forward on those older ones (feels a bit premature for Stratus and Symphony but what do I know). I think now you'd get Neoverb. I'm personally pretty pleased with Nimbus and R4 at $9.99 which I got this year (less pleased with Phoenixverb but only because I got it too close to them putting Nimbus on sale).morphex wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:45 pm Wow, to me, that's a huge list of very useful plugins that deserve to be maintained and updated. I wish they'd developing Iris into a v3, Iris 2 is pretty neat but they could make it great if they wanted to. Breaktweaker 2 with 8-10 sound lanes instead of 6 and better Swing handling would have been hella cool also. Oh well.
Edit: my phone put a cry emote, unintentional

If iZotope were to grant me a wish, I'd love to see some of the new features from RX 9 included in an Iris V3. I was an early adopter of Iris because I could see its potential uses for exotic music and sound design applications.Agreed wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 11:30 pm

If I remember correctly, Brian Eno gave an interview about how he was using it and I remember thinking that Iris could bring new life to old recordings and even loop libraries. The synth is also visually appealing. I don't use it very much now because I have other things that have taken it's place, but it would be a glorious morning to wake up and see a big advert for version 3.

It's funny really,
I tried trash 2 when it was released and remember enjoying it but decided not to buy it .
Now playing with the free gift and it doesn't float my boat at all .
For every signal processing block in trash 2 there are far better alternatives , the serial routing can easily be replicated in your daw's mixer.
Strange how our taste in quality can change over the years .
Think I am just going to copy-paste the impulse response files and delete it .
But thanks anyway Izo !
Edit: can't really call this a N.I. gift since I had to create an izotope acount in order to install it .

Well that's unexpected. NI is giving away an Izotope plugin. And of course it is one I already have.
I guess that is why all the izotope plugins have been on fire sale pricing off and on for the past few years now. No (further) development costs.

What a slap in the face of the Trash customers who actually spent money and bought that plugin
