but the initial question isnt as dumb as it seems to be for some.
i am not so sure, if i would go on making music with a daw if all of them would go subscription. but i certainly wouldnt give up making music, but go on using analog/digital hardware recording gear.
anyway, if that happens to be, the cracker scene would have a blast

and a new dawn of happyhippos arise ^^.

Since I'm not dependent on Music for my quality of life, I'd probably just find something else to do with that time.

Though, I'm on Windows, so I could probably maintain my current DAW for another decade, easily.

Ownership is a fundamental right, I hate everything subscription. I'm getting more into learning electronics / DYI and hardware hoarding lately.

People should stop writing texts when on PCP, seriously.
