We have data. There was a poll done through Google docs and we've received pretty straightforward signals. To be fair, was not surprised by results.

Helix has a more "out there" range than might be expected. Matchless and Divided By 13 are there, along with Revv, Grammatico, Park, Dr ZEchoii wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 10:14 pmAgreed. I particularly would like for the developers to start looking at modern amp builders, which is relatively uncharted territory. Matchless, Two Rock, Amplified Nation, Divided by 13, Morgan, Lazy J, Bad Cat, Tone King, Victory, etc.I personally think it would be cool to model something uncommon one day.

Well, I have no idea what the new amp is, but as long as it's not 5150 or Rectifier, consider me interested.
Kazrog has just dropped a hell of a 5150 anyway and Rectifier is literally in everything.
I might even bite another Vox, since I'm a hopeless junkie for them edges of breakup and chimey, creamy cakes for my Tele.
But it better be the Vox plugin of all times, since I'll be saving up for SoundDrops Kent on the summer sale. Anybody coming up with a new AC30 will have to convince me otherwise

Yeah, I've noticed. I'd like for more developers to join the party.Helix has a more "out there" range than might be expected. Matchless and Divided By 13 are there, along with Revv, Grammatico, Park, Dr Z

I wasn't aware of that, but that's only a partial solution. Every preset in Ampbox works just fine, with or without owning every amp model.cprompt wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 12:14 pmkevinsparks wrote: Tue Dec 14, 2021 10:40 pmIt's not like Amplitube where half the presets are broken because you didn't buy 200 amps and pedals. You know in AT5 you can hide those presets that have gear you don't own.MogwaiBoy wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 8:51 amHah, and so true about Amplitube, wading through all the locked presets is a bore.

That's really a shame, because my Sovtek MIG 100B is imo the greatest bass amp ever built. I tried to convince bx Dirk to make one, but his response was "make your own"Barmaleus wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:09 pmIt's the hard part. There are so many cool and interesting amps around. We'd love to model all of them, of course =)Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 4:43 pmRussia you say? I have no idea what those old Sovtek amps actually sound like, but I'd love to find out.Barmaleus wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 6:54 am There are often more problems with shipping stuff to Russia, but that is solvable in most cases.
But we have to select carefully and make sure an amp makes sense from the business point of view. I am not sure if Sovtek is highly sought after by majority of people using amp sims.

I never say "never", as things may go in absolutely different directions =)kevinsparks wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 9:13 pmThat's really a shame, because my Sovtek MIG 100B is imo the greatest bass amp ever built. Just looking at simple "model this" requests, Sovtek is far from being on top of the list. Which is a sad fact for some =)

Can you share the results here on KVR ? I'd be curious to see them and the methodology you used.
Also I'd be pleasantly surprised if you added a few Fender, Vox and other clean tone amps to the mix instead of the usual ubiquitous metal fare.

Hey!
Did not want to leave your question without a reply. No longer with Mercuriall, so can't say anything specific. But in any case, the data was for internal use. There were no plans to make it public.
In terms of clean tone amps - long overdue, imo.

Thanks for the reply Barmaleus. Yes, definitely long overdue.
