This has always bugged me about Ableton Live

Yeah, I dont care about the clip part in Ableton at all, I'd rather have a proper mixer view in its place instead. I only use arranger like traditionally
Soft Knees - Live 12, Diva, Omnisphere, Slate Digital VSX, TDR, Kush Audio, U-He, PA, Valhalla, Fuse, Pulsar AUDIO, NI, OekSound etc. on Win11Pro R7950X & RME AiO Pro

Well, one thing I would like to see implemented asap is a hidden track feature. It bugs me to see lots of tracks that maybe are not needed to show on the arrangement and feel lost sometimes because of that. Right now I have to group them and resize to minimum... but still.
A new resizable version of operator would be great. Just a bit more modernized like wavetable.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Snapshots. Just to have different scenarios assigned in the same project with keyswitches would be epic.

That looks like you can only edit one track at a time. So if you have 2 tracks that has a synth on one and a sampler on another do you have to select each track to be able to edit the sampler or synth or can you have both lanes open and edit the synth and sampler on the same page without having to switch between the tracks?antic604 wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 12:27 pmYes, in both Bitwig and Live:DrFolder wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 11:19 am...Having track editing lanes open for multiple tracks at the same time would be very helpful, this way you wouldn't need to select a different track to move a parameter. I haven't used Bitwig or Ableton in a while so I don't know if this feature is already available.

This is one of those things people are not going to win out on in Live I believe. I was completely shocked that Live finally got key commands for resizing the clip views, and I just don't think that will happen with the built in instruments. It would require entirely new code etc. to get everything large.

Oh, by "edit" you mean the devices? I thought you meant edit tracks, as in the MIDI notes. No, you can't display devices from 2+ separate tracks at once in either of them.DrFolder wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:19 amThat looks like you can only edit one track at a time. Thanks. I should have clarified better. I'm finding modern software to be very clicky. Constant clicking between tracks and windows and folders etc. One day there will one with a good balance. Modular software has an advantage in this area because the controls are accessible on one page, but the sequencing and tracking aren't as good by a long shot.antic604 wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 9:07 amOh, by "edit" you mean the devices? In other DAWs where devices just pop up to separate windows you can usually have them open for many tracks at once, but soon enough you'll find yourself getting confused about what sound you're actually editing, because e.g. the same Pro-Q3 for bass and lead looks the same. And you can easily run out of screen space.
Live and Bitwig are german. They like order. I like it too
