In theory, if you mix the lowpass filter output with the inverted original, you create a highpass filtered signal. In practise it sounds more or less like a bell filter, maybe because of latencies?! I don't know.JUSTINO wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 3:14 pm guys - is there a High pass filter ? Model 84 includes a filter that has highpass, as well as (the already mentioned) Korgasmatron II.
Both are well worth the money, IMO.

The EQ of the Model 84 VST is not available in Softube Modular.Introspective wrote: Sun Dec 19, 2021 2:06 am Model 84 includes a filter that has highpass, as well as (the already mentioned) Korgasmatron II.
The British Class A plugins are Modular ready, but that wouldn't be the cheapest choice....

Hi, just dropping the question here: does anybody else experience it, that the knobs are not nicely responding. When hovering fast over a knob and start tweaking it, it freezes (ui+sound change), but then it appears right in the tweaked position, and afterwards it runs smooth at the next tweaks(while holding the mouse clicked on the same knob all this time).
Of course, going to a different knob, it does the same the first time.
Is it the ilok causing this?

Crap! I apologize, he's right; the HPF is NOT available in modular. My mistake.Rastkovic wrote: Sun Dec 19, 2021 3:22 amThe EQ of the Model 84 VST is not available in Softube Modular.Introspective wrote: Sun Dec 19, 2021 2:06 am Model 84 includes a filter that has highpass, as well as (the already mentioned) Korgasmatron II.

my update on the moog model d from softube
not too impressed with this one sorry.
it does sound digital - as do all the emulations - still yet to be charmed by it - but may well change my mind
find the osc sound a bit flabby in modular compared to the doefler osc
not sure what to make of it
I have the arturia , monark , and the legend one - prob prefer the sound of legend - have the boog and the boog is awful in my opinion
one day someone will nail the moog - if anyone was gonna do it - it would be softube as they are good at their stuff - but have to say the model 72 does sound digital to me

That day has already happened, multiple times. Your brain just hasn't caught up, I'd say. Let go of that confirmation bias....JUSTINO wrote: Sun Dec 19, 2021 6:11 pm

I don't have a real Minimoog so I can't personally create a blind test, but here's me guessing you'd fail one between a real minimoog and the "digital sounding" Model 72. I know you think you're hearing the 'digital' difference...but I don't believe it.

No , I wish I did but they are too expensive. I have listened to quite a few on youtube though and they sound great. I have the boog and dont like it.
I totally might change my mind and start saying the model 72 is the greatest ever etc - its just not happened yet and was a bit dissapointed by it sounding digital - i have to 'get into it' soon as the sale for it is on the 28th at softube for two days. I want too like it.
I rem when the model d remake came out and also the boog shortly afterwards the price of model d's dropped a lot on ebay - now they are at a really high price again and i just would never buy one.
Saying all that I am floored by all the doefler , korgasmatron sound - totally knockout and i wish i had been using them since i bought the modular - its taken me years to get round to using it due to the leads - now its becoming easier to use its sound is the best going

Well, at some point you will reach the ceiling and then you can turn turbo boost back on and you will see that it does give a pretty good performance boost. I have the same computer and same TBswitcher program your using.JUSTINO wrote: Mon Dec 20, 2021 11:28 am its been close to the same for me on a 2019 macbook pro - my machine was going like a jet engine with modular - now quiet
