Overloud GEM Comp 76. To me, nothing compares to what this thing achieves and I tried a bunch. This was after discovering how good the built in effects in Superior Drummer 3 were and then I wanted that compressor outside of SD3. Can go from pretty clean to complete slam dirt. It's awesome for that big drum sound.

Watched a video about compressors for smashing drums. There is a plugin called Elyria Mpressor, best plugin I have ever seen / heard on drums. I hope PA will have it on sales soon, must have it. Also some NI Supercharger seems to be pretty good. I thought I already know all compressor plugins, I was obviously wrong

I don't parallel compress the whole drum bus anymore, I found it sucked the life off the drums. I'm experimenting with parallel saturation (with Kelvin especially) instead and it seem to give the glue effect without killing the punch and clarity. There's a Kelvin preset called buss driver or something, which sounds really nice.

I bought Korneff's Talkback limiter. Now I am getting emails with tips and tricks for it. This is great! They are very useful and I am learning how to better use this tool. Great use of customer emails. And if it gets annoying there is a quick opt out link. But so far the emails have been very useful. Now... it makes me want to pick up the Pawn Shop Compressor, I could see that benefitting from some tips...
