If Ableton Live had Clip FX and Item FX like Reaper...and the ability to actually edit your clips in session view (cut/paste)....and a compressor called cupholders.

Better support for hardware synths and other outboard gear (e.g., patch recall/instrument definitions) would be ideal for most DAWs IMO. With the current boom in cheap hardware synths, it seems like a lot more people would want better integration/communication with their gear.

The Ultimate DAW would include?..
