it s the overall impression i had when using vital and i use serum sinc lot of years... vital has less caractere and more vanilla so it s good also to have for me
Is Serum worth cashing out for, when you get Vital for free?

Listened blindly and obviously preferred A, and I thought I knew what A was right away. Later it turned out my guess was correct.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I spend three years developing system which not just avoid limitations of one page synths like synthmaster one,but gives flexibilities to use it as multitasking synth - for example if you have 4 layers you can make pad which have 4 layers with 4 different attack and release time, with nonlinear dynamics i develop you can have 44 different attack and release and to use modulations of only one preset so to layer it 44 times and create basically limitless layers...and that's just part of it,which makes me thing that may apply such to Serum,if Steve duda send me this free license muahahahah

If your synth engines sounds great then you don't must tinkering a long time around to get your patch sounds acceptable. The Synths with a good base sound only with a saw and a simple LP Filter are very rare. I have bought and tested soo many synths and most of them sounds meh. I have tried so long to get some good sound out of all those softsynths. As a conclusion I only buy synths with good fundamental sound. Features like UVI Falcon have are nothing worth if the synth engine sounds boring, flat, thin, whatever you call it and 100 Layers of that poor engine makes it not better.
If you're happy with the choice, stick with it.

That's one of the things I always find the most obvious, when comparing synths: The sound when you "close" the filter envelope. Some sound really lame then, no power, no oomph, no beef, and some get really beefy and ballsy.
And, yeah, Serum definitely excels in that regard, in that comparison. Although, as far as I read, Deadmau5 used a lot of Synth Squad in his earlier stuff. I don't know if Serum already was released when he produced that track (which one is it anyway? I know it, but, I'm not good with names.).

So Vital is cleaner then? That is good.ckoe wrote: Mon Dec 20, 2021 1:01 pm
I have made the blind test right now too and I heard the great Serum Deadmau5 sound in a millisecond on Synth A, synth B is missing a lot of character harmonics.
