I have bunch of Goodherz effects, just purchased the latest one, the Trem Control.

Without having any earlier problems, the latest installer 3.5.1. and maybe one
earlier before that, gives problems to my DAW.

The installation goes OK, and even the plugins open smoothly, when you open the plugin in the session first time. But if you minimize the plugin UI, and then try to open the UI again, you
get time to time just a blanc UI frame, and at the same time that freezes the DAW, you have violontly shut down the session.

Anyone of you experienced that?
That happens at least in my laptop, Win 10, Live 9, 64 bit. 7i, 8 RAM.
I have tried using two different audio insterfaces/drivers - the same thing happens.

Is your project playing while opening/closing the plugins? That could cause a crash.
EnergyXT3 - LMMS - FL Studio | Roland SH201 - Waldorf Rocket | SoundCloud - Bandcamp

No. And only one instance, no other plugins.

You should ask the developer, he is very responsive to emails and a nice person to deal with.

I have noticed that their GUIs tend to slow everything down when they're open.

Yes, that’s the first thing I did.
Not much help from that side.

”We haven't received any other reports like this, and I'm not sure what could cause your entire computer to freeze. All of our past installers are available here: https://goodhertz.co/downloads/. Can you try downloading v3.4.1 and seeing if that fixes the problem?”

Maybe I missed it....which DAW?

Does this on my daw sequoia. I stopped using all goodHertz image sequoia. However, they work flawlessly inside FL studio and audio audition.

You should report this to the developer, because at the moment they share missleading information by stating ” we haven't received any other reports like this...”.

Hi there, Devin from Goodhertz here. As I mentioned in our email, we had not received any reports like yours where the plugins completely froze a computer on Windows / Live 9, requiring a forced power-off. That said, we have seen issues specifically with Sequoia on Windows with HiDPI monitors. As best we can tell, this is an issue with Sequoia's OpenGL/HiDPI support though, and there isn't anything we can do on our end to fix it. As always, all of our past installers are available for download here: https://goodhertz.co/downloads/

On Windows machines we do occasionally see issues with OpenGL drivers, especially on older computers. The majority of the time, the issue is fixed by updating the drivers. If you have an Intel graphics card (many laptops do), this Intel tool can help find the correct driver for your hardware and update it: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... etect.html

Hi, devkerr, thank you for joining us.
As I have reported, can’t believe, that the old hardware is the main reason for challenging use of the Goodhertz plugins.
E.g. my laptop is rather new Omen, designed for a quick play machine, i7, 12 GB etc. My desktop is a tailor-made in 2019, fast i7 processor, 32 GB etc.

None of my about 350 plugins in these DAWs cause UI download issues. I had a similar issue with one Waves plugin years ago, but that appeared to be a Waves fault in the waveshell.

The problem with the Goodhertz UI is fatal with my laptop, my desktop gives symptoms, i.e. delayed loading of the plugin UI, but finally the UI appears in my desktop. The laptop freezes totally.

Pitty, because Goodhertz are well-known quality-plugins, I have 5 of them.
I wish you can tackle this issue. :phones:

Just want to chime in here. Tried the Megaverb and the UI raised my Radeon R9 to its limits. When I close the UI, the fans stop spinning. This is a joke to be honest, when a simple Reverb heats up my graphics card, so I got rid of the Goodhertz stuff.
I'm using Reaper BTW, but this is not the problem here.

Good to know. I've been looking for a plugin to freeze the DAW.
