It looks to me like Logic really stepped up their internal FX. Is it even worth buying 3rd party FX plugins?

The only 3rd party FX that I got is from Serum at the moment.

Logic Pro X FX and instruments are great indeed! Especially since they added Chromaverb and the Classic EQs. The Red VCA (Focusrite) Compressor is one of my favorite ITB comps ever.

I'd say save your money and learn Logic. The more you learn about fx in general and how best to apply them, the better you'll be able to judge, but professional recordings are made itb, so…

Logic's FX are the best I've used in a DAW, but my only other experiences were Reaper and Cubase 10. I use a lot of TrackS stuff, but I could happily get on with Logic's onboard stuff, which I have in my M1 Native template, as most of IK's stuff is not yet ARM native compatible.
