Waveform's VST3 wrapper has a tendency to be wonky but it's working fine visually here (Win10). Check "Enable DPI Awareness" on or off by right-clicking the plugin icon. Also you can change settings like Advanced -> Performance -> GUI Rendering Mode.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

AU version now fixed with Logic -- download v1.0.1.

yes!
thank you - working in logic!

:tu:

and surprise: no hearable aliasing :-)

i'd wish for an output knob for attenuating...uhm...output volume...

and imho
the interface is...well kind of...hmmm..."intersting":

the value of 0% still distorts (add harmonics)
whereas -100% is zero distortion

doensn't make sense imho

but, well:
it's working now in logic and no aliasing (at least hearable) is a big plus imho

Is this made with SPICE circuit simulation?

Posh Spice or Baby Spice?

Old Spice...
No auto tune...

Hi guys thank you for the comments :)

I owe you some replies, in no particular order:

1. No it's not made with SPICE but uses the same algorithm that SPICE uses to simulate a tube and uses the real tube characteristics and biasing circuit to create a lookup table fo the input/output correlation

2. Internally it uses up to 4x oversampling to bring its internal working sample rate as close as possible to 192KHz, so if you are running your session to that sample rate it won't use any oversampling, if you run at 96K it uses 2x and so on.

3. I like doing GUIs this way, I hate 3D and skeuomorphic in general, I've been an Ableton Live GUI lover since the first time i used it in 2004 (this should give you some background on what I prefer and if some day we'll hire someone to do the GUIs the will still reflect this idea)

4. Input and output are linked in the "effect" knob, actually if you set the knob to 100% you are actually driving the model with a +30dB gain and -30dB on the output. Since we model the electric characteristic of the tube here we need to amplify the signal internally to get the distortion and some slight gain variation is to be expected.

Let me know if you have any other question!

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
