I'll open this thread since it's more convenient for bugreporting than the discussion page (and I can add screen shots)

I encountered following bug:

There seems to be a bug in 2RuleSynth (v1.1) with Reaper. Since there are no arrow-buttons to browse presets, I tried Reaper's preset browsing function. That would work in principle, but the preset name in the synth do not change accordingly.

Also a preset I saved myself [with the save preset on the synth] does not appear in Reaper's drop down menu.
However, when I chose 'Program 1' (as opposed to 'Preset 1') from Reaper's drop down menu, Reaper crashed reproducibly on my computer (Win10).

I have checked the case with Reaper for mac and windows, It is true that Reaper can not show the presets of the 2RuleSynth. At reaper browsing Combobox the preset list is empty.

But by pressing + (reaper) I can save the preset in the DAW Reaper. I can change the program using the Dropdown menu of Reaper (different preset list) and 2RuleSynth Dropdown menu .

Could you please provide more detailed information?

I am not certain, we encountered the same error. But I added screenshots to illustrate, what I encountered. I hope this gives you an idea, what I'm trying to say.

I tried to change the factory presets with the help of the reaper drop down menu, because that way I'm able to shuffle through them with the mouse wheel, which is much more convenient than always opening the drop down menu on the synth. Arrow-buttons on the synth to change patches would help a little bit. But I guess catching the crash should be a higher priority than browsing convenience.

It's the recent version: 6.42

Edit:
I just tried in Cakewalk (2021.04, Build 175) to switch presets with the DAW's preset selection funtionality. The presets names in the synth's UI don't synchronize either. It's just the display, the actual sound changes, like it does in Reaper.

However, when I switch to Prog1 Cakewalk does not crash, unlike Reaper.

the version of the Reaper that I have was 6.28 (something like that)
I had upgraded to the last version and encountered the problem you see(crash).
I fixed the bugs, (selection of program 1 crashes and the semi sync of program change (only changing from reaper effects the 2rulesynth Combobox, not the inverse, unfortunately)

I finally came around to trying out your bugfix. The crash is gone, and synchronisation from Reaper's drop down patch selection works as intended. The other way around does, as you stated, not work.

Another thing is, I couldn't find a way to detune the oscillators against each other by semitones, which is kind of important for FM-sounds...

OSC1 modulate OSC 2 (OSC 1 is modulator, OSC 2 is Carrier)
So you can use oct. and fine of the all oscillators.
the output sound comes from OSC2(carrier) .(for example if you turn off the volume of OSC1, and you get onlu the fm sound. but its octave and fine tune of OSC1 continue to effect the OSC2).
But you right fine tuning is a little bit weird but octave works as well.
I will check fine tuning.

Never heard of that synth. I like the idea of showing two ADSR's in the same display.
Are the filters in parallel only or can they also be switched to serial mode?

There are two separate synth lines, right? Basically like in Sylenth1.

The chorus type on the screenshot is set to 0.0, does that mean off? If so, how do you turn off the reverb and the delay?
The same goes for the oscillators, wave 2.0 is triangle and 0.0 is sine? Does it have continuous waveforms? What is 1.0 for instance?

The labels are inconsistent (abbreviation, chorus type instead of Type).
Maybe another color for the Chorus, Delay, Reverb and Algorithms sections would be better, not Yellow again, which is already used for parameters. How about blue?

On the Waves display, the word Waves is not centered, unlike with the Spectrum display.

+1 for the above request. That would be a very significant addition indeed. Couldn't that be combined with what is now the octave switch ? So as to leave the fine tune in place, since that's also very important for FM/RM.

I have already written about this by email, but I will mention my wish again here) Two visual ADSRs in one window - a great idea! If you make it possible to drag one ADSR 1 with the left mouse button, and ADSR 2 with the right (or with a wheel, for example) then almost the entire synthesizer can be tuned with one hand, while playing the midi keyboard with the other hand. If you ever implement it, it will be fantastic!

I fixed the -12 12 fine-tuning of the two OSC.
the relsease is beta. I will try to implement all the things that all you have mentined here, then try to release as a new version.
