The Let It Be remix. Sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Giles has cleaned everything up nicely.
This is their 'bad' album? Two of Us, Across The Universe, I Me Mine, Let It Be, Long and Winding Road, Get Back? Rlly?
Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you are safe and sound with your loved ones.

The only album of theirs with more duff tracks than bangers IMO is the Yellow Submarine soundtrack and that’s mainly down to GM’s insipid arrangements on side 2. Side one would be a classic, but All Together Now does my head in.Bombadil wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 6:21 pm The Let It Be remix. Sounds like it was recorded yesterday. I like the 1999 version, which, I think, is their first attempt at re-mixing their stuff. No George Martin, just them. Eleanor Rigby in all its georgousity, brought new life to the title track itself, Hey Bulldog and It's All Too Much. Nowhere Man and Think For Yourself, as well as Love You Too are remixed, Pepper, Help Frm My Friends. I recommend it. Afaik, it was definitely the trial run for the later spate of anniversary remixes.
And no George Martin songs.

True, that’s a far better album. An even longer All Too Much popped up on YT a while back, not sure where it came fromBombadil wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 7:48 pm I like the 1999 version, which, I think, is their first attempt at re-mixing their stuff. Part comes from a verse used in the movie but not the album version, if memory serves. Anyway, the re-mixed/cleaned up Let It Be is a serious improvement. Sounds like you're in the control room with them.

I wouldn’t want to be as I’m sure Linseed-oil Hogface would also be there prattling about natives holding torches on a beach.Bombadil wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 8:27 pm the re-mixed/cleaned up Let It Be is a serious improvement. Sounds like you're in the control room with them.

He's been relegated to directing the cameramen at this point, Glyn taking care of the sound. I just heard the re-mixed I've got a Feeling, and you can hear 'Linseed-oil Hogface'
