The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Well, I looked up weeb (I had thought the poster some pages back had meant dweeb): A weeb is a derisive term for a non-Japanese person who is so obsessed with Japanese culture that they wish they were actually Japanese. Hmmm.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

It isn't, it's only people that think it's popular that thinks it's popular. Having ready access to software should you want it, doesn't actually mean it's popular. I would argue that Studio One is more popular, simply because it's not a confusing mess of a UI and far more intuitive to actually make music.

searched and yepp till you're in the Channel Rack FL is unbeatable but after the 'Split by channel'ing you can't edit the separated patterns (leads<>bass layers etc) together in FLS from this point Bitwig is betterJGM4Ever wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 12:24 am ...
Search on youtube for "Nick Mira makes a hit beat from scratch in 10 minutes". That video pretty much sums everything up regarding how efficient and fluid writing songs with the program is.

mentioning BWS because it can import FLS projects so they can be finished in it and everybody can be happy

My old friend who now goes by the name Breakfast used it a lot. Not sure if he still does or not, but he "made it" with using that host.

Not using some fancy iLok type software makes it less cumbersome to install. It feels like Reaper in this way. Both have an open nature to them. Cubase, on the other hand, won't even load if I have my audio interface turned off.

Things are usually popular because they are good...
Its interesting OP mentions various genres, because while FL was ahead of the curve for many years, it was always very much focused on the modern 'beatmaker' vst user type of users, until recently. In those beatmaker worlds FL and Ableton have been the standards for a while.

I've never found FL Studio to be a confusing mess or unintuitive so that is probably a matter of the individual's mindset.THE INTRANCER wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 6:19 am It isn't, it's only people that think it's popular that thinks it's popular. Conversely, the other usual comment is that, 'its for kids'. Are such people therefore asserting that they are of lower cognitive function in dealing with complexity than children?Erisian wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 7:55 pmI've never found FL Studio to be a confusing mess or unintuitive so that is probably a matter of the individual's mindset.THE INTRANCER wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 6:19 am It isn't, it's only people that think it's popular that thinks it's popular.
