is this a closed beta?
Yes, it is a closed beta. I installed it a couple of days ago and haven’t had time to really dig into it yet, but early signs are promising.

There was a call for testers back in July I think...

Yeah, it’s quite clear they’ve been working on it for some time. I think they’ve just opened it up to more testers, I was only invited a few days ago.

Just to clarify: it's M1 compatible but not M1/Apple Silicon native.
It is running native on my system
can confirm.

it's also the weirdest AU component - it has a .vst3 inside .component folder
Its because Arturia use VST to AU wrapper. Their AU's are like fakes, pretty shitty actually...

Arturia also gets a knock for not allowing the user to decide which of choice from (AAX, AU, VST, VST3) will be installed. The Arturia Software Center just dumps them down, and lets you sort out their mess. Not as obnoxious as IK, who installs every plugin every time, but pretty shitty.

Also the Arturia build team did a shoddy job of assembling that audio unit. It shouldn't show up as a folder, but as a package. I believe the OS keys off the presence of a PkgInfo file.

Wonder what that means for efficiency.

You have to go into Preferences and Advanced and disable "silent install", then you get to select which formats to install.

But I wish they did this by default.

Thank you. :dog: I missed that option and had no idea what it did anyway. Very generic description. Not only should be disabled by default, but a hover over describing what it does would go a long way, or even just put some text in the UI describing it in more detail.

Was just poking around on NI's Rosetta/Silicon update page, and they made a change (appears to have been Dec 8ish). Used to be that some of *The Komplete Effects were carved out as specifically unsupported. I know I kept from installing Raum, Phasis & Replika XT previously. Now they are all stated as supported under Rosetta. Perhaps they passed QA or were updated? Dunno. I show versions 1.2.1 now. Is there a secret option I'm missing in Native Access to only select the type of plugin, or are they guilty of what I accused Arturia?

Don't see how that translation can be more efficient, but might not mean much real-world inefficiency. I bypass the problem and use the Arturia VST3s, which have worked just fine for my needs.

Cant use vst3 in logic.
I could try loading both in plugin doctor to compare dsp time

To be honest, I have never had performance issues with Arturia plugins in Logic or Studio One...

I thought it was native since around summer?

It seems as if some, if not all Arturia FX are now native.
