Hey everyone,

I've just released Tundra Drones, a collection of 128 drone sounds.

There are multiple formats available:
  • Adaptiverb presets - frozen sounds that you can modify with the reverb controls
  • sample pack - rendered from Adaptiverb presets
  • Pigments presets - samples imported into the synth with additional macro controls
  • Ableton Live Pack - contains four instrument racks that offers different layering and processing of the included 128 samples

Hey Daniel, I like these multi-format packs. This one is especially nice because it has presets for Pigments. I've really been trying to learn that synth more in-depth. It seems so useful for just about any kind of project I start. I did zero in on its ability to make beautiful pads and atmospheres with the granular engine. Tundra Drones specifically shows off Pigments' strength in this category.

In terms of mood, these sounds pair very well with your Mare: Cinematic Atmospheres for Vital pack. The track I'm working on now calls for multiple layers of atmospheres and special fx, so these presets for Pigments are great starting off points. I only wish I had Adaptiverb because I know it has a few cool tricks up its sleeve, including a unique way to process the reverb tail.

Another classy release as we say goodbye to 2021. Thanks for the inspiration and high-quality work you've released over the last year. I look forward to seeing what projects you have lined up for the new year. Cheers!!

Thanks Justin as always for your feedback. Yes I'm going to create more of the multi-format packs. It makes sense to offer more options for people, so they can get what suits best their workflow. I wanted to make more format for this release but it would take too much time, maybe I'll extend it ever more in the future.

I wanted this pack to be fairly simple yet flexible and I'm glad the you find this useful. Its purpose is to make you feel inspired and take it further and incorporate into your own projects.

I highly recommend Adaptiverb. It's a very useful tool.

I have some new ideas and new stuff coming in the new year. Stay tuned. Cheers!

Thanks but the existing versions for Pigments already seem to show and load in Analog Lab for me, as do all my Pigments banks, so do the Analog Lab versions offer anything different using Analog Lab additional functionality (eg use of Analog Lab FX, multis, splits)? Otherwise will I not see 2 versions of the same thing now in Analog Lab?

Post

Hey. Analog Lab versions do not offer anything different. These are exactly the same presets as in Pigments. This update is strictly to make those sound packs available for users that don't have Pigments but own Analog Lab V. If you have Pigments and those sound packs, you can totally ignore Analog Lab V banks.
