ah... I get it - that's just the standard window they put on all their installers.
There is no demo mode, it's genuinely free and fully functioning.
And a very nice sub-patcher it is too, I like the visual aspect. There's probably nothing in there that Reaper can't already do but sometimes it's nice to have alternative way of doing things,

Just one more thing to add regarding Minihost Modular...
if anyone's considering using it.... BACKUP your VST folders before uninstalling it!! If/when you uninstall the IL shared libraries you will wipe out your VST dlls. I actually only scanned \Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins with the program, but it also got rid of the Program Files(x86) versions as well for good measure!
Not nice! Thankfully I have a fairly recent backup of my vst folders.

Yikes. Thanks for the heads-up! I was unaware of this behavior, as I don't believe I ever actually uninstalled Minihost Modular after installing it (having jumped through all those hoops to find the installer to download and install it, it would have been a shame to uninstall it). I do use the application regularly (despite it not being updated regularly anymore by Image-Line).AudioBabble wrote: Wed Dec 29, 2021 3:16 amIf/when you uninstall the IL shared libraries you will wipe out your VST dlls.

No worries, I'm all back up and running now... and had a chance to do some house-keeping at the same time!

Check out MIDI Xplorer at www.midixplorer.com (http://www.midixplorer.com) (http://www.midixplorer.com (http://www.midixplorer.com)) - works great! Was able to import my midi files and preview them in Logic Pro- KVRAF

Sounds like a useful little plugin. But damn... that website. Feels like the whole text and everything was done by AI. Maybe the app too.

Also, it is a MacOS-only plugin.DrGonzo wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2026 5:39 am Sounds like a useful little plugin. But damn... that website. Feels like the whole text and everything was done by AI. Maybe the app too.

As for Image Line Mini Host: a shame they let it die. Can’t run on Apple Silicon?
