I like SPECOMP a lot. It has a great tight, punchy character.

No, they are offered as free downloads for anyone and if you find you like them you may at your discretion subscribe on Patreon. Similar to how Airwindows does it. Love both of these companies for this generous method of distribution on large, diverse toolkits.

The newish multi guitar pedal plugin he did (the one that’s a combination of all his pedals) is pretty awesome in front of an amp sim.

For mixing: dbcomp (finally a replacement for the waves unit), love this on my drumkit closemics
fetish replaces cla76 for me on vocals
mastering: Rare for that pultec lowend, but i also love the 16kHz band. i usually don't go higher than 1-1,5 on the controls tho.
YALA is a competent vari-mu iirc, don't use it that often.

Don't sleep on Kolin. It is absolutely an amazing compressor plugin. I especially suggest feeding it with very low level audio, like -24dB of incoming signal, then use the main output knob to compensate it back.. this makes the compression action very smooth and groovy.

Recently tried Prebox with some material, and I just could not hear any difference between any of the options. I wanted to like it. Maybe my ears. Maybe the material, but it gave me no coloration, as compared to Audiority Pre X7 and Arturia Pre Trid-A (which I ended up using). I'm wondering if maybe Prebox really needs to be driven hard into distortion to hear it? I was using to try and add a slight warmth to dialogue, so very light touch.
