Atom SQ and Studio One

It's probably the best controller for S1, because it was designed for it.
I have no personal experience, but judging by the tutorial videos it covers most if not everything that's needed. For now Launchpad X is my choice for using with multiple DAWs, as it covers expressive playback, clip launching (where available), devices & mixer control, but if I ever decided to stick with Studio One only I'd definitely get Atom SQ!

I have one. Super tight integration with Studio One. But controller itself is low quality. Pads are hard without proper tactile feedback and double triggering all the time. Display has very low view angles. It is useful only if you looking directly at it.
It is very good concept, but realisation isn’t there yet.

Thanks a lot @Serhii Kot! What is sequencing on the Atom SQ like? Do you need to look at the computer screen often? From the looks and from some yt tuts I think one needs to constantly switch focus from the controller to the computer screen back and forth.

Yes, you need to look at screen all the time while using sequencer. But it’s me, i used to work like this. Maybe those who are using old school samples work in different ways.

Integration with Studio One is really awesome and it's the only selling point IMO.
Knobs and pads do not feel good at all (as they are advertised at least).
I would prefer if they release an actual keyboard with 32 keys and the same integration as Atom SQ. And I hope they do.
If you prefer to use it as a pad controller, pads are small and not fun to play with due to their layout.
If you prefer to use it as a keyboard, pads are not sensitive enough to play pressure-sensitive instruments like pianos. They are okay for synths though.

Thank you for your opinions! I was kind of hoping for a Push-style solution for Studio One. Doesn‘t seem to deliver that much. Looking back and forth between screen and controller could be a real showstopper...
