Hey, thanks for that! We are trying our best : )morphex wrote: Tue Dec 28, 2021 5:33 amMajor props to EffectGrid for cranking out updates and posting on a forum when most people are celebrating and taking time off. That's dedication and it speaks volumes about the work ethic of their two person team. I'm already covered in terms of multi-band effects, but if I ever need an additional tool or just a change of pace, I'll certainly keep this in mind. Good luck going into the new year!!EffectGrid wrote: Mon Dec 27, 2021 11:57 pmHey, the stuttering is now fixed and the sound quality has been greatly improved in general. You can now also set your own attack and release times. it needs some finetuning but its a useful splitter for me.

Hey, glad you're liking the improvements : ) We're actually finishing work on the next update which will introduce some bug fixes and additional options to customize the look of the plugin.fairlyclose wrote: Tue Dec 28, 2021 6:46 amthanks I am demo-ing again and there is a definite improvement. Something I like is that EffectGrid is not on sale, like Valhalla and others it just has a very fair price so I dont have to be in a hurry. Almost certainly I will buy it, and contribute a few suggestionsEffectGrid wrote: Mon Dec 27, 2021 11:57 pmHey, the stuttering is now fixed and the sound quality has been greatly improved in general. ( using it now with some field recording )But I like not having to be in a panic where the price will suddenly double because the time zone worked against me or whatever. I find all that manipulative sales stuff incredibly unethical. Good on you!
And yeah we're very much against using fomo as a sales strategy...
Actually if you want to contribute a little you can even get a full license for free: https://twitter.com/EffectGrid/status/1 ... 8059441161
We are trying to be quite conservative in terms of the demos we accept, as we want to showcase the most interesting use cases, but this is still a very available way to get the plugin for free if you're willing to help us out a little. This also applies to demos in a video format (a short screen capture of yourself using the plugin in some creative way), if you can make something like that than that's even better in fact. Here's a good example of that:

Meldas multiband and modular plugins have offered this for a good few years now, with a range of cross over algos not just limited to frequency and amplitude banding

Hey, I personally haven't used those melda plugins, but I'd say there are pretty major differences:VariKusBrainZ wrote: Wed Dec 29, 2021 12:57 pm Meldas multiband and modular plugins have offered this for a good few years now, with a range of cross over algos not just limited to frequency and amplitude banding
First, based on some comments on our discord chat from people who have used both the melda's solution and EffectGrid, it seems like the amplitude splitting in melda is not very good and creates a lot of artifacts and our solution sounds much cleaner.
Second, EffectGrid splits frequencies first and then within the frequency band it splits the amplitudes. This means that the amplitude splits are much more precise, as for example a heavy bass frequency won't activate the high amplitude gates on the high frequency band. This means you can really precisely separate individual components from say a mixed drum loop. All of this while using very little CPU.
Third, as far as I know the melda plugin doesn't allow you to process the bands with external, non-Melda vst's, which is a major advantage of EffectGrid
Hope this helps to clear things out.

Hey, our goal is certainly to make it fully compatible with M1, and it should already work mostly well, but we simply didn't have enough people testing it yet. So the best thing to do is get the free trial, test it on your system, and let us know on discord if you have any issues.Fraggle wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 2:06 am Is it made for native M1 Mac or does it need Rosetta 2? or only usable on Intel Macs ?

Hi
can anyone help me please?
i thought i can use my own plugins with effect grid?
when i scan my AU folder it doesn't show my plugins in that folder.
instead it scans a whole lot of apple and other AU plugins that to my knowledge are not on my computer and never have been.
there is no mention that the plugin already has so many built in AU effects.
i am able to scan my vst and vst3 folders and all my vst's show.
so why is it doing this?
i am unable to change settings to direct my scan to my specific AU folder but i am to my VST folders.
and more importantly i am not able to reveal the location of the AU folder's scanning location and this i would REALLY like to do as i would like to know where these plugins are hiding on my computer as i was never aware they was there (unless they are a part of the plugin but strangely not advertised as being so).
can anyone give me feedback as to what i am missing here please.
Thank you

I been doing a lot of searching for info and it would appear that there are built in AU plugins in the OS code (code not confirmed by developer but stock plugins confirmed by him/her. The code info was found on multiple forums).Ploki wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 2:04 am AU folder is default in library/audio/plug-ins/components
It scans that iirc.
No au built in
Effect Grid definitely isn't scanning my components plugin as it is showing none of my AU plugins only these stock plugins.
I am unable to direct the scan to the components plugin either, unlike the ability to do so with the VST folders.
Developer is aware of it.
Thanks for efforts.

Just curious, has anyone ran this using FL Studio yet? I need some advice on whether or not it's possible to use the function of sending a band output to a bus channel in the mixer.
Until forever fades away.
