Hey guys,
So i am still quite new with software end of things and im trying to get all my dam 3rd party plugins to load into Komplete Kontrol but a lot of them i cannot get to load up in preferences. I see some of them being scanned but they wont load up while others do. Ive tried both library/user and plug-ins/locations add re-scan etc... but some of the vsts are not coming up even when i know they are 64-bit versions.
Could anybody give me a nooby run-down of how exactly they add theres to plugins. does it have to be narrowed down to the exact file like a dll or can it simply be ex. ( ozone 9 folder ) under izotope folder? otherwise have to open the ozone 9 folder and find the exact dll or file itself? had no issues with arturia products, naughty instruments, Captain instruments. Cant get izotope
Also, is it something that you should do in komplete standalone, then close open again to scan, close, then open daw and open komplete in there? sorry for so many questions but this is definitely something id like to get figured out in order to use komp kontrols/ lightguide etc...
Thank you for the help everyone!!

From what you write, I assume you know what folders your plugins are installed in and have added those under Preferences > Plug-ins > Locations?
There is also a "rescan" button there so you don't have to restart KK. Otherwise, yes, I think all paths are rescanned on startup.
That should be enough, it should find any plugins in any sub folder.
However, KK and Maschine do not support VST3 yet, what format are the plugins you are missing?
EDIT another thought: Are you sure your plugins are registered/activated? I think sometimes scanning them may fail if they want to open an activation window, in that case try opening them in another DAW first to activate.
