I saw this spec from Tom's Hardware for building a gaming computer, which I'd like to use (with possible modifications) for an audio Windows PC build:

With GPU's being hella expensive now, I'm thinking of just omitting that and using the Intel onboard graphics (should be adequate for audio work, n'est-ce pas?)

Does this build otherwise look good for audio? This Intel processor has 8 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores; would I be better off going with AMD for CPU?

And finally, what would be a good audio card for this system?

Thanks for any input!

I've always used integrated graphics on my Daw computers and never run in to any display issues though, of course, you'll probably get a bunch of posts stating I'm an idiot

Currently on an AMD 5700g system and it's supposedly even good enough for acceptable 1080 gaming.

The onboard GPU is OK.

Yes, but the Fractal design Meshify C does not have front USB-C, change to the Meshify 2

The current Gigabyte BIOS is very picky about RAM, check the QVL

and make sure to update the BIOS

The best(latency/performance) you can get is RME

Yes, I've had similar experiences with my current music PC; just the onboard Intel graphics are more than enough.
