Have you tried to uninstall it and reinstall it?Chrisk-K wrote: Tue Dec 28, 2021 2:24 am The legendary version of the JD-800 has disappeared from my library and cannot be authorized in Logic. The legendary tab shows that it is installed on my M1 Mac. I've logged out and logged in several times. I've closed and opened RCM several times. I've rebooted my Mac. What the heck is going on?

think the jd-800 test drive trial ran out before xmas so it may show up as locked under the access column (second from right) in the library page as examigan pointed to, when you toggle the access column to unlocked it should show as lifetime key if you bought a key, could be the same issue cptgone was having if purchased keys aren't updatingChrisk-K wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 4:30 pm I wrote RC Support that the JD-800 doesn't show up in my library although under the legendary tab it is shown as "installed." And yet, a support rep asked me to email him a screenshot of my RC library window that shows the JD-800. This is a sad comedy.

The issue has been resolved. I can have two legendary/Aira instruments active at any given time thanks to my Pro Play4Life subscription. I had installed the JD-800 and the Juno-60. I was able to install the System-8 as well because of the free JD-800 testdrive. The trial ran out, so I uninstalled the System-8 to keep using the JD-800. But it turns out that the uninstallation alone didn't make RCM stop counting the System-8 as "active." I had to also deactivate the access toggle switch. I think this two-step process is unnecessary. But how do I understand the minds of RC programmers?polarsky wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 2:19 amthink the jd-800 test drive trial ran out before xmas so it may show up as locked under the access column (second from right) in the library page as examigan pointed to, when you toggle the access column to unlocked it should show as lifetime key if you bought a key, could be the same issue cptgone was having if purchased keys aren't updatingChrisk-K wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 4:30 pm I wrote RC Support that the JD-800 doesn't show up in my library although under the legendary tab it is shown as "installed." It works fine here in Studio One 5 and Cakewalk Sonar also and it is in Cubase 11 i have this problem @44.1 khz.Examigan wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:38 amI just tried that on my PC and it works Ok in Cakewalk w/Windows 10 (44.1k) when I reload the project with 4 tracks of Zenology (different preset on each). They are all still in tune.D-Fusion wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 1:48 pmJust discovered another one that has uploaded a Video with the same problem that i found and this is with Logic on Mac and i am using Windows 10.D-Fusion wrote: Mon Dec 27, 2021 5:48 pm Edit: Seems like Zenology Pro doesn't like other samplerate than 48khz when used in Cubase when you use more than 1 instance
I Just encountered a weird bug or problem with Zenology Pro and Cubase Elements 11.
If i add 3 Z Pro and save it as a song and reload that song the first one is in correct pitch and the 2 other tracks are out of tune so i can only use 1 instance of Z Pro in Cubase.
Any idea when this will be fixed Brian?
Just a wild guess here as I'm not a Mac guy (so I'm probably way off):
I wonder if any of the applications they have running (I see a few in the dock at the bottom) might be affecting it somehow? Not sure if it's possible, but just thought I'd mention it.
If i change it to 48Khz before i add any instances of Zen Pro and save it it works if i don't change the Samplerate and stays at @48khz.
I believe that Studio one and Sonar ignore sending samplerate info to the vst and that is why it works (Zenology Pro is locked to 48Khz).
And why is the first instance normal and the rest wonky (There is a bug somewhere in Zen), and Roland has known about it since September and the 1.64 update where suposed to fix it but it is still there.
The other thing i find weird is that the Legendary JD800 vst is a standalone Zen Core Plugin too and that one does not have this problem with multiple instances @44.1khz.

Beware: automatic payments aren't easy to find on Paypal 's site, and the payment is to Fastspring (no mention of Roland). I almost got stung...cptgone wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 5:14 pm As far as I can tell, I only authorized the single annual fee payment, so I don't have to cancel any recurring payments.

I cancelled mine a couple months ago. It works for now, but the Pro plugins won't (except my 3 Lifetime keys) after it expires at the end of this month.
I believe the only way it will keep charging you is if you forget to cancel it in your account.

It's your best option, for the moment (because it's THE ONLY option)

In theory, you can create 99% of JD-800 patches in Zenology Pro because all the JD waveforms are in Zenology. I say 99% because the JD's effect secttion is far superior to Zenology's and because some of JD presets rely on the JD effects. However, as for me, the JD-800 superb GUI makes it way more fun to use and easier to program than Zenology. The JD-800 is my favorite RC legendary instrument.

I like it a lot as the controls are nearly all right there on the main display.

Yes, if you used to own a JD-800 and miss it, or if you've really, really always wanted a JD-800, but could just never had the money for one.
Like all RC synths, the UI leaves a lot to be desired. It sounds pretty authentic to my ears (though, TBH, I never owned one, but I always wanted one).
That said: the JD-800 is relatively dated as a synth these days. It has its charms, and definitely has its own character and charm, but the filter is very ... specific (a very small sweet spot, and a relatively harsh resonance) and the available tones are limited and definitely not "realistic."
But if you know what you're getting into, and Roland's RC licensing and UIs don't rub you the wrong way: it's a good facsimile for the real thing.
Otherwise, I recommend giving it a pass. The price is, IMO, too steep for what you get. ...unless, as I said: you're considering the cost as an alternative to the hardware...

If you bought into the Play4 Life deal before Dec. 31st, you could choose it as a lifetime key for $99 versus $149.

I like Ronald Cloud a lot. Many great sounding vst in there. Lately I have been thinking why xv-5080 sound kind of weak when you listen classic analog like synth patches? Other sounds are great but d-50 or jv-800 sound lot better and more analog like.
I thought that xv-5080 was greatest Ronald rompler ever but even Syntronik 2 sounds a lot better than xv-5080. And Zenology also can do much more convincing analog emulations. But I don't think you can call xv-5080 king of the romplers when it is behind its time in analog sounds. Otherwise it is usable.
